In my opinion, this shoe is more of a Mid in the midst of recent Nike releases (or if you want to be technical, it's "in between a midand a low" as per Nike's description)
as it is not a true low, i prefer to call it a mid and call shoes like the hyperdunk and the blue chip "highs"

i'm praying they release the LOW top version of this that Steve Nash has been wearing....christmas ones as well....
sadly I've seen no info on the low top versions of this shoe.
tore mine last june...playing basketball so I'm not quite as hardcore as you.
I'm playing again now, still a little uneasy and I still have some pain in my patellar tendon due to them taking the graft from there...
IMHO, it doesn't really matter what shoe you wear to physical therapy after...
