i don't disagree with you
just trying to see it from their pov
The only thing to see in Cardiff are old *** Anglican churches... >D Almost the same in Kiev but I think they have huge indoor water park & Chernobyl. :rolleyes

my only takeaway from this possible NYC CL is they should match the effort and do something like this for the CONCACAF CL's

I actually like this more than UEFA CL coming to NYC

We should be embracing CONFACAF competitions more here. Bringing awareness to clubs and competitions that involve regions on our side of the world would help with promoting the sport

Even though this isn’t as bad as playing a la liga league match here I still hope neither happen. Once again this does nothing for growing the sport here It’s just more preaching to the choir of the hard core fans already in the states and that’s not needed to grow the sport

I think that would be great. It'll show casual footy/MLS fans that the MLS Cup isn't the only prize to win and other comps should be taken seriously.

After party at Truth

When your team loses the final

Amazing team football right there, almost everybody got involved in the build-up and there was no more than 2-3 touches per player. Once executed to perfection, this can't be stopped.

This. No one is saying that NYC is not fit to host a UCL final.

The UCL is a European competition.

Before calling them "idiots," you should be able to realize why Europeans don't want to move their most important club match 6 time zones away to North America.
Separate from this discussion at hand, that total barca writer is an idiot homer incapable of being objective.

Back on the subject, I'm not even arguing if it should be in America or not but it shouldn't be in cities like Cardiff or Kiev... It's idiotic to have such a prestigious game in crap cities like those.

Although I selfishly want it here in the US, I understand their POV. It's like if the NFL announced tomorrow that the Super Bowl will be played in Russia or China. We'd be turning over cars, accusing the NFL of being money-hungry, and posting all over the internet that we'd be done with the league.

Hell no to a CL final in the US, no offense, or anywhere else outside of Europe really.
European fans shouldn't have to travel outside of Europe to attend the final of our most prized competition.

I’m European, have no problem with the UEFA Champions League Final being played in NYC (or some other great city on another continent)

The Champions League is way bigger than just Europe, it’s the most prestigious tournament in the world with the highest quality of footballers from around the world. Everyone watches on every continent.

Psk is right, look at the last two cities to host, Kiev and Cardiff - if I was a traveling fan I’d rather it have been NYC or Rio de Janeiro. Imagine a CL final in Maracanã. Do it UEFA.

niffle... Stupiest "game" in the world...
bro, no lie my boy invited me to his new spot he got with his girl to watch the UM game against LSU. Game started at 7:30 but I didn't get to his spot til like 7:55. I think the game didn't end til like 11:45

And just think, there was only 11 mins of actual game play....

This pie chart illustrates the actual game play within the 3 1/2 hours of a telecast. It's no different for the ncaa game.

Anyone that's been to Cardiff & Kiev will understand...

yea, I had already lost interest by the start of the 2nd quarter. I don't even like or watch American football, I just went over cause he had been asking me to go and check out his new spot.
