It was an awful tackle but the only reason the red was given in the first place is because of the unfortunate consequence. The ref changed his decision after seeing the injury.
It was a bad foul that went wrong. You know that wouldn’t have been given if not for that horrible injury.

this is exactly why it's a good thing everyone is not a referee. The *Foul committed was an obvious tactical foul. The law talks about that specifically. What you are doing is considering the result of the tackle in your final decision. Unfortunately, that's not how the laws are written. If you take the emotion out of the decision, it's a simple tactical foul. Yellow card.
We all know the referee thought the same because he initially pulled out the yellow card. Referees only make those quick decisions when they're certain of the outcome. He changed his mind after seeing the result of the foul, which we all know is not how the laws read. If that was the standard, we would have a whole bunch of decision changes... And no need for a law book.

We've got a squad. Plus Saliba coming in next season means we only have to start one of Papa or Luiz, not both. We just need a manager that isnt tactically lost and losing the locker room because of a lack of respect. Or making idiotic decisions like playing Lucas Torreira as an attacking mid, or captaining Xhaka.
Look at PSG, they're fine and doing great with a good manager now. Not that we're PSG or anything close.
