Really? Where did you hear about Dwight not wanting to play with Jameer?

This! No  matter what we end up doing, it won't top this. MASTER PLAN!!!! Damn Stern!!!!!!

Caracter has a torn lateral meniscus in his left knee. Could be out a couple of months. Same injury that bit Barnes last season.

I read on Twitter that one of the moves he wanted the front office to make was signing Billups so it's a read between the lines kind of thing.

Not enough money to entice him.

The Lakers can go for the poor man's Carl Landry in Leon Powe though.

When was the last time we had a young, athletic big man like McRoberts?

Would have been nice to take back Fernandez in the Odom trade...

LA Lakers
[/h6][h6] Lakers forward Derrick Caracter tore the lateral meniscus in his left knee at Monday afternoon's practice.

Caracter is scheduled to have surgery tomorrow morning at the hand of Dr. Steve Lombardo. The Lakers will issue a press release at the conclusion of the surgery for the timetable of Caracter's recovery. http://on.nba.com/uxQvRE

I don't mind the McRoberts signing...at the very least, he gives us cheap frontcourt depth. With the lack of bigs we have, I dont think something like 20 mins, 7 PPG, 7 RPG and maybe a 1 BPG is something that's not too far fetched. He's athletic, high motor, and he's not afraid to mix it up. I'll take that especially at the price tag.

Besides, he's young and I'm willing to bet he contributes more than what we got from Ratliff and Caracter last year

some of you talked about Gerald Green in that draft... what I remember that day is I wanted the Lakers to pick Raymond Felton... although that was highly unlikely... I would still take him if I had the chance, I liked what he did in NY... now he's a Blazer... oh well

Not really a Laker fan...but interested in seeing their moves over the next few years. Have to start thinking about post Kobe/Gasol and maybe "rebuilding"... I'd try to move Bynum quick for two first round draft picks because I wouldn't put my money on his knees.

I don't see them finishing any higher than 3/4 in the West this year.

character can be replaced by signing any rookie scrub

dude can't play defense and gets blocked at a 98% rate...has to be a record
even a 5'5'' dude does not get blocked as much

lol@ mitch doing big things

ESPN sources: Lakers continue to express serious interest in Paul, w/package built around Pau, but search for third team on to supply youth

It's going to be like this until the Deadline.

so sources say we are back in the hunt for Chris Paul? packaged around Pau and a third team for younger players... thoughts?

Vetoed because it doesn't include every NBA player under the age of 25 along with a 1st round draft pick from each NBA and WNBA team.
