Some people jump higher off of one leg (myself included). Even back when I played regularly and could dunk fairly easily (for a white guy anyways), I had a much easier time getting lift off of one leg than two; I would get about 4-5 inches more lift off of one leg.

I can't even dunk anymore and this kid doing it @ 11 with ease.
