Maybe not back to his peak but about a year after he got KO'ed he came back and KO'ed Mijares and won 3 belts from him. And Mijares wasn't a pushover, dude was about to be top 10 in P4P if I remember.

Sanders and Brewster knocked Wlad out. Speaking of Wlad, his fight with Haye is set for July 2nd. Now Haye is going through a divorce and I hate to say it but I wouldn't be shocked if that was an excuse to pull out of the fight.

If anything that means he has to fight.  He's going to need the $$$$.
1. MANNY PACQUIAO

Welterweight titlist
Record: 52-3-2, 38 KOs
Age: 32
a_pacquiao_manny_s.jpg

Pacquiao

Hits: As Pacquiao, the only eight-division titleholder in boxing history, prepares for his May 7 Showtime pay-per-view fight against former three-division champ Shane Mosley, training camp has been unusually quiet and, at least publicly, distraction-free. That's a serious departure from his recent training camps and suggests that Pacquiao will be at his absolute best against Mosley. As good as Pacquiao has been in recent fights, that is a scary thought.

Misses: Whomever you want to blame, the bottom line is that Pacquiao is fighting Mosley -- who has looked absolutely abysmal in his last two fights -- instead of Floyd Mayweather Jr.
2. SERGIO MARTINEZ

Middleweight champion
Record: 47-2-2, 26 KOs
Age: 36
box_sergio_martinez_65.jpg

Martinez

Hits: Martinez is a breath of fresh air -- a guy who, almost without issue, will fight anybody. Over the past two years, the 2010 consensus fighter of the year has consistently fought the best fighters available, from Kermit Cintron to Paul Williams (twice) to Kelly Pavlik and Sergiy Dzinziruk. And Martinez typically has been impressive when doing so, including his thorough five-knockdown beatdown of Dzinziruk for an eighth-round knockout on March 12. The various alphabet belts mean nothing at middleweight. Martinez is simply the man at 160 pounds.

Misses: HBO doesn't plan to bring Martinez back until at least September, which isn't on him. It is, however, insane.

3. FLOYD MAYWEATHER JR.

Welterweight
Record: 41-0, 25 KOs
Age: 34
box_g_mayweather_65.jpg

Mayweather

Hits: Maybe, just maybe, after 11 months out of the ring, Mayweather is showing signs that he's interested in fighting again. He did, after all, show up and sit ringside to watch Victor Ortiz win a welterweight belt from Andre Berto on April 16. It happened to be one of the belts that once belonged to Mayweather. If he isn't going to fight Pacquiao, wouldn't a fight with Ortiz at least be interesting?

Misses: Rumors continue to swirl that if Mayweather comes back in the fall, he will select Paul Spadafora as his opponent. If it happens, it will be an utter disgrace.

4. NONITO DONAIRE

Unified bantamweight titlist
Record: 26-1, 18 KOs
Age: 28
box_a_donaire_65.jpg

Donaire

Hits: Within weeks of his spectacular second-round knockout of Fernando Montiel to claim a pair of 118-pound titles on Feb. 19, Donaire became embroiled in a promotional tug-of-war when he bolted Top Rank (which claims he is still under contract) to sign with rival Golden Boy. If there is one positive to take out of the mess, it's that the sides have agreed to binding arbitration, meaning that rather than winding their way through perhaps 18 months of lawsuits, there should be some sort of resolution by as soon as the end of June.

Misses: Donaire was lined up to fight in another HBO main event on May 28 before the promotional issues knocked that off course, meaning Donaire likely will sit until at least early fall.

5. JUAN MANUEL MARQUEZ

Lightweight champion
Record: 52-5-1, 38 KOs
Age: 37
a_marquez_juan_manuel_s.jpg

Marquez

Hits: Even at his age, Marquez continues to get the job done in exciting style against quality opponents. He is a pleasure to watch and, when he decides to call it a career, an obvious first-ballot Hall of Famer. Before that happens, he has at least resumed talking to Golden Boy about a new promotional contract that, if a deal gets done, could start with an attractive July 30 HBO PPV against junior welterweight titlist Zab Judah. That's a very interesting fight that, if Marquez were to win, would make him the first Mexican fighter to win titles in four weight classes.

Misses: Instead of taking a fight for big money against fellow Mexican star Erik Morales on April 9 -- which would have completed the round-robin among Marquez, Morales, Manny Pacquiao and Marco Antonio Barrera -- Marquez decided to sit tight to wait for a possible third fight in the fall with Pacquiao. That's risky because Golden Boy still has matching rights, even if Top Rank offers him Pacquiao, which is certainly no guarantee.

6. BERNARD HOPKINS

Light heavyweight
Record: 51-5-2, 32 KOs
Age: 46
a_hopkins_bernard_s.jpg

Hopkins

Hits: On May 21 in Montreal, Hopkins will get a second chance to make boxing history. If he beats light heavyweight champ Jean Pascal on his turf in a rematch of their controversial draw from December -- a bout Hopkins deserved to get the decision in -- Hopkins will break George Foreman's record as the oldest world champion ever.

Misses: Other than running into some trouble early in the first fight against Pascal, Hopkins looked terrific and even appeared to dominate the rest of the way. Can he actually do it again, especially at his age?

7. TIMOTHY BRADLEY JR.

Unified junior welterweight titlist
Record: 27-0, 11 KOs
Age: 27
box_fw_bradley_65.jpg

Bradley

Hits: Alexander took care of business in January by unifying belts against Devon Alexander. On April 16, titleholder Amir Khan took care of his own business by beating Paul McCloskey. Those wins paved the way for an expected July 23 HBO showdown between Bradley and Khan to determine world supremacy at 140 pounds. That's a very significant fight.

Misses: Although Khan and his team are apparently on board with the plan -- as is Gary Shaw, Bradley's promoter -- Bradley and his managers have not yet committed to the bout.

8. ANDRE WARD

Super middleweight titlist
Record: 23-0, 13 KOs
Age: 27
box_a_ward_65.jpg

Ward

Hits: Ward, who is in the midst of preparation for his semifinal match with Arthur Abraham on May 14, has been utterly dominant during his run through Showtime's "Super Six World Boxing Classic." In fact, Ward has been pretty dominant for his entire professional career; he has barely lost any rounds. You would have to go all the way back to his 2005 fight against Darnell Boone, when Ward got knocked down, to find an even remotely competitive fight.

Misses: A little less holding and rough stuff and a little more clean punching would make his fights a bit more fan-friendly.

9. WLADIMIR KLITSCHKO

Heavyweight champion
Record: 55-3, 49 KOs
Age: 35
box_g_klitschko_65.jpg

W.Klitschko

Hits: Now that titleholder David Haye has finally agreed to fight Klitschko, it looks as if we will get one of the biggest fights boxing has to offer when they meet June 25 or July 2, likely in Germany. We have all waited a long time to see this fight. Let's hope Klitschko has recovered from his abdominal injury and Haye doesn't pull out again.

Misses: Once Klitschko beats Haye, what will there be left for him to accomplish?

10. MIGUEL COTTO

Junior middleweight titlist
Record: 36-2, 29 KOs
Age: 30
a_cotto_miguel_s.jpg

Cotto

Hits: It took Cotto awhile, but the Puerto Rican star finally stopped Ricardo Mayorga in the 12th round of their entertaining fight on March 12. Cotto's fairly dominant victory set the stage for a likely fall rematch against Antonio Margarito, a sequel to their controversial 2008 fight. Margarito's 11th-round knockout in that bout was tainted because many believe he was wearing loaded hand wraps (after he was caught trying to wear loaded wraps in his next fight, against Shane Mosley).

Misses: This is not a knock on Cotto, just a disappointing development: Top Rank hoped to make the Cotto-Margarito rematch in July, but because Margarito isn't ready to resume heavy training following the beating he took from Manny Pacquiao in November, it will be pushed back until the fall.
