2012 Emmy Awards

Modern Family zzzzzzzz..

solid show, but enough is enough. Especially with Parks and Rec out there. Louie and Community won't win best comedy, but Parks and Rec has just as much heart and sentiment as MF, it's just not as "family friendly"

Not watching, just heard, Lewis over Cranston and Hamm... geez louise. I watch all three shows fwiw.

1st season of homeland was not better than season 4 of breaking bad or even season 5 of mad men....just no

happy to see aaron paul win best supporting actor in a drama but part of me wanted to see giancarlo esposito win

he killed that role! :hat

homeland is pretty good. 11 out of the 12 episodes were addicting. the finale, on the other hand, was just horrid. the show had guts until then.

but let's be real here--breaking bad season 4 was one of the greatest seasons of TV ever. it's a shame it didn't get the recognition it deserved.

and lewis...come on, he barely did anything on homeland. no way he deserved best actor. that's pretty laughable. he was barely even a lead. that's claire danes' show

on another note, gus fring losing was the worst thing that happened. jesse is awesome and all, but gus fring was one of the best villains in history--tv, movies, books, plays, whatever. giancarlo esposito deserved it more than anyone has deserved that award in recent memory

Cranston definitely deserved to win.

As much as I love Breaking bad, my biggest complaint of the night is that of 17 nominations.. Mad Men did not win one award, and that's after arguably the best season they have ever had. I need to stop giving a crap about award shows :lol

Aaron Paul :hat

do your thing young man, hopefully he gets some great offers off his amazing work on the series that jolted his career.

Cranston deserved #4!

Overall, a pretty boring awards show. Disappointed in Kimmel, he could've done way better than that. The Tracy Morgan laying down and the In Memoriam to himself bits seemed like filler.

Not surprised by any of the awards except for Best Actor in Drama. I knew Cranston wasn't gonna win because four would've given him the record and the Academy wants to keep things even BUT I thought Jon Hamm would finally get his. Same for Best Drama...Mad Men winning another would've given them the record so obviously the Academy didn't want to give it to them. Breaking Bad had zero chance...when it comes to Best Drama, the Academy tends to vote against shows with a lot of violence/drugs/action so it was either Homeland or Downton Abbey.

I don't see any show beating Homeland for the next 3-4 years, they're gonna rack up ALL the awards

Literally the only drama I havent watched yet is the one that won the emmy :lol

Maybe I'll check Homeland out. Never really heard about it.

Wow, can't believe so many of ya'll havent watched Homeland yet. You guys need to get on that.

Take a break from Breaking Bad. I thought season 4 was not as good as previous seasons, seemed like they were running out of script and it was replaced with more drastic action, things got a little bit unbelievable. Esposito def deserved the Emmy before Aaron did tho. He was great with his role.
