Wouldn't call Thibs overrated. It's not like he has an offensive players on his team. When did Joakim Noah become such a offensive juggernaut. He got a lot out of that team this year. There's no question of that.

Just as D'antoni had no defensive players this year, Thibs didn't have any offensive fire power. Unfair to both guys. Thibs seems like the much better/powerful leader of the two, which is a huge aspect of coaching.

When DanPhony had a super team offensively he looked amazing. When he is placed with a conventional roster the results look so mediocre. He needs a specific set of players. He can't use conventional big men.

Thibbs is held in high esteem by the league for a reason, while DanPhony is always looking for work, for a reason

even with offensive players, his struggle offense gets exposed in the playoffs year after year

if the only player that can look good in your offense is dj augustine, then you need to rethink your strategy
