Sounds like CJ Worton has lost his offer from FSU. Coaches were none to pleased at how the three star was seemingly recruiting for Florida and over playing his hand. Good luck at UF more room for real Noles!

Went 12-1, lost one game to OSt by 6 points in September.  USC blew out every other team they faced.  Led arguably the 2nd best team in the country that season, throwing 3,207 yards, 34 TDs, 10 picks and the team finished ranked #2 overall.  Sanchez ended up being a top 5 draft pick.  I mean, short sample size and no national title aside, that's pretty much one of the better careers in recent memory out of a 5 star qb no?

Maybe exceeded the hype is too strong, but definitely lived up to it in that one year.

And Tyrod Taylor and Stafford just balled.  Their teams didn't really win **** though
TCU spends more on college football than any other team in Texas
Forbes ranked  two Big 12 football coaches as “more powerful” than TCU’s Gary Patterson, but TCU spends more than any other team in Texas on football, according to the business magazine.

The football program receives nearly 40 percent of TCU’s athletic budget. The football budget sits around $28.1 million as head coach Gary Patterson makes over $3 million, but TCU is not required to release the exact figure because they are not a public university.

Both Bob Stoops and Mike Gundy rank ahead of TCU’s Gary Patterson in the power poll of college coaches, but Forbes reports that only four teams spend more than TCU on their college football program. Those teams are Alabama, Auburn, Notre  Dame and Wisconsin, and Auburn ranks as one of college football’s least efficient programs as they spend over $4 million per win.

TCU’s athletics department revenue again rose in the fiscal year 2013. It has risen every year since 2005. As it was planning a new football stadium as well as new basketball and baseball facilities, the Horned Frogs were spending more than they were taking in before they moved to the Big 12, so the Big 12 revenue has helped TCU accomplish a myriad of long-term goals that required consistent income to be feasible.

They key figure in the numbers reported by Forbes is that the football program uses 40 percent of athletics revenue, but it is responsible for creating over 45 percent of athletics revenue.

TCU made a clear decision as the football team experienced more success in the mid-2000s that it would spend the necessary money to compete at the highest level. Director of athletics Chris Del Conte hired Trent Johnson in 2012 and made him the highest paid basketball coach in school history, and the school has increased Gary Patterson’s salary to over $3 million in order to keep him at the school.

While TCU’s athletics department may not make near as much money as the likes of Alabama and other college powers, the commitment to spend is a commitment to ensuring their student-athletes can compete. Alabama will now pay head football coach Nick Saban over $7 million annually.

A note:  Frogs O’War, SB Nation’s TCU affiliate, reported an interesting note today that the athletics department spends a significant amount of money on the women’s equestrian team, but the horses are not included in their expenses. The reason: all the horses are a gift given to the university.

UH won't ever be good again unless they can get back into a major conference.
Thats such an simple answer, do you know how much time money & effort TCU has put into their program to get where they are today? We're talking 15+ years. UH has started to think that way but it was a good 10 years too late and they were well behind us when we both got left out of the original formation of the Big12. Too many people who didn't care on our end while they got their **** together.

I like to think we can get to that level but we still have a long ways to go.

We tried. We failed :frown:

But now just go undefeated and you have a shot at the playoffs. O'Korn doing work though.
With the way CFB is headed its gonna be next to impossible for a mid major to get into that playoff let alone play for a national championship.

All we can do is keep chipping away and hopefully we can kick that door down one day.

Coach Mora met with Adoree at his high school and asked him point blank if he wasn't interested in UCLA anymore, and if so that he could tell him, it wouldn't be a problem. Adoree told Mora that UCLA is still in the mix for him and that he wasn't dropping them from his list of considered schools.

I don't think UCLA is going to get him, but it's strange to hear that neither LA school could end up in his top two.
