, you just can't bro and if you say so you fronting

Just be like Ska and let it flow because the force is with you, I see you stay taking shots at one of the best players in franchise history.

You either forgot or don't appreciate the success he's brought us over the years otherwise why are you consistently negative towards a player whose done so much for your favorite franchise.

You think Crltics fans clowned Bird when he got old and started breaking down, or u think Spurs fan stay taking shots at Tim Duncan ?
If I may chime in...

I haven't gone back and forth w/ PMatic near as much as I have CP, (actually, I don't think I've gone back and forth w/ my ex-wife as much as I have CP, but that's another topic), but I am FULLY CONFIDENT that CP recognizes Kobe's greatness.

Yet I've seen CP slander Kobe PLENTY for what Kobe is doing to the franchise RIGHT NOW. Like, Kobe's 81 points ain't got NOTHING to do w/ how he is crippling the franchise right NOW, and CP knows that. Games that Shaq fouled out in the Finals and Kobe 'shouldered the load', that has nothing to do w/ what he's doing right NOW.

I take PMatic the same way, and other Kobe fans who have him above Magic (traitorous, blasphemous rebels though they are), yet they still shake their head at the contract he has, coming off of the injuries he is, at the age that he is.

:lol correct Ska.

It's ok to be honest about your favorite team/players.

The end of Dan Marino's career doesn't make me forget his prime.
The end of Sammy Sosa's career doesn't make me forget his prime.
The end of Kobe isn't going to make me forget what he did in his prime.

Thing is, as great as those players were, as much as I loved watching them play, the success of the Dolphins/Cubs/Lakers means more to me than their final games/seasons.

Long term health of the LA Lakers >>>>>> Kobe's final years.

Earl Clark is in training camp for the Grizzlies.

I would rather have him than Boozer.

"It made me feel great, you know..." If anyone ever listens to Jay Mohr on AM 570 y'all know what I'm talking about. And yes I'd rather have him than Mr. Black Ice as well. I want to look forward to the season but the thought of watching so many L's hurts already. :(

The contract is the one decision I actually do get upset about with Jeanie, Jim & Mitch. More so Jeanie for thinking the cap space is not "a fluffy thing" or however she put it. I would have loved them to get Kevin Ollie instead of Byron Scott, but I know what the cost would have been per year to get him from UConn.

But the Kobe contract doesn't kill the Lakers, they could still have built a contender, but could have built a more complete team.

Assuming Nash was stretched:
Kobe's current contract - Could have had a max guy, 3rd option type $8-9mil, Swaggy P as 6th man, Julius Randle, Kelly, Sacre, Clarkson

Kobe at $20mil a year - Kobe, Max guy, 3rd option $8-9mil, 4th option $6-8mil, Swaggy P as 6th man, Randle, Kelly, Sacre, Clarkson

Either way would have taken this year to get started then 2015 to get the 3rd option, and 4th if Kobe's contract was less.

That's the honest difference. And that's on the Front Office for not thinking about that.

The Lakers(front office especially) have honestly been in disarray since the Chris Paul trade got vetoed and of course the death of Dr. Buss. Set off a chain of events they still haven't recovered from. Lamar still mentally shook from that. Pau got softer. Had to trade for Nash as an alternative. Making various irrational decisions from the amount they paid Kobe(he's my favorite player period) and whiffing in Free Agency left and right. Now instead of legit strategies it seems a lot more is based on hope and the attraction of playing in L.A. vs anything else. After Kobe it's an absurd drop off in talent. And he's coming off two tough injuries. :( :( :( this is gonna suck.

This again?

It's called being critical.

Stop puffing your chest out like you not daring say anything critical proves you're a better fan. Almost every time someone says something critical about 2014 Kobe or 2014 Kobe's contract, you use it as an opportunity to prove a point with your "yall musta forgot or don't appreciate" comments. It's getting old. We are all posting about the Lakers in here week after week, so it's safe to say were all as big fans as the next guy.

And age is the only similarity between Kobe's situation now and old Bird or Duncan. There are so many other differences.

Ska I see what u mean but its much more simple imo he just doesn't like Kobe and he didn't deny it so it is what it is I guess.

senior robot you way off base bro so imma respectfully ask you to mind your business. I never mentioned the contract and puffing my chest out ? Again you don't know what you're talking about.

I know you didn't mention the contract... I'm saying that's the reason why some people are critical of 2014 Kobe. Not because they "musta forgot" or "don't appreciate."

I'll mind my business if you still want, but you're the guy complaining about getting "scolded" for rooting for wins. If you don't want people getting on your case about feeling a certain way, maybe you shouldn't get on people's case for feeling a certain way, that's all I'm saying.

:lol :lol

@ the Chris Childs gif bravo.

senorrobot once again you're going in another direction, but I see you can't help but jump in and type away smh.

here's the difference tho all I said was I don't think P likes Kobe that's it I didn't attack his character, insult him, or talk down to him like my opinion is law....thats the difference between me and talking about getting scolded for rooting for wins which is only natural for any fan to do.

You've questioned the loyalty and fandom and realness of people who've criticized Kobe in 2014, which in a thread made for Laker fans is about as close as you can get to attacking character.

I only care because I share the opinion. And the reasoning for it's been explained so many times after posts like these:

Oh yada yada yada, many of ya'll folks already stated dude was washed.

Dudes front so hard it's disgusting :{

I can respect Ska 1000000% at least he's consistent with his ****.....he don't like Kobe and that's that. ( he likes Kobe Johnson a lil but that's a diff player)

You can call him stupid, greedy, selfish, arrogant, ugly, cheater, ball hog but know you like him ? Go sit down with that fake ****

Please rid yourself of that fine # 8 jersey , all that **** you talk about Bean you don't deserve it.........seriously !

Get a paycut jersey or some **** :lol......get a customized 5 with tank on the back :smokin

That when you still say stuff like this:

You either forgot or don't appreciate the success he's brought us over the years otherwise why are you consistently negative towards a player whose done so much for your favorite franchise.

it comes off as condescending towards everyone who shares the opinion.
