Personally would have traded up for Exum or trade back for Payton.Everything they say about smart, they said about Mateen cleaves.
Wiggins and Manziel in the same city. Talk about star power and marketing edge.
Lindor got next.OVO headquarters is now Cleveland.

Just Hold On We're Coming HOME!!!!
Hinkie stockpiling assets. Can't say enough how much I love the strategy. Philly assembling an army.
I liked the sound of an Exum and Olapido back court. Neither are above-average shooters at this point, but both prospects have room for improvement in that department. Payton and Vic is nice in principle defensively, but Elfrid shoots poorer than Exum.think a lot of teams pegged Exum as a 2 guard at the moment, and perhaps they just weren't sold on his ability as a point.
it's part of the reason why he skipped the Jazz workout, because of Burke.
He's dead-set on being an NBA point but some teams just don't see it, maybe including the Mavs.
And maybe it was down to Gordon/Smart and felt Gordon had the higher upside.
They ended up with Elfrid Payton so, I guess they got who they wanted and not who we all expected.
The hornets knew what Miami wanted and drafted him for the sole purpose of getting the extra second round pick. With both of those picks being traded for cash and cap space. Powell went to Cleveland for Alonzo Gee and the cavs took Brendon Haywood's 2.5 cap hit and then the guard from Xavier was traded to Okc for cash. So now the hornets have about 20.5 mil after signing the rookies in cap for free agency. And if they can move Hendo that would give them an extra 6 or 7 mil to play with. Plus MJ wants Melo and now has enough cap to do it. Still think its a longtshot he comes. They wanted Ennis, he was gone, why not take Shabazz... really don't understand what they were thinking, same goes for MJ and Cho, why would you help the Heat.
I didn't watch too much college basketball, but I wasn't overly impressed with Marcus smart. He looks like an average playmaker that can't shoot.
I could be wrong.
ya'll know what I meant.Rich Cho building. Vonleh falls to #9, great value and resists Dougie. Hairston spaces the floor with his shooting. The hornets knew what Miami wanted and drafted him for the sole purpose of getting the extra second round pick. Plus MJ wants Melo and know has enough cap to do it. Still think its a longtshot he comes.
Superstars ain't going to Charlotte unless Mike is putting another $10M per year into Melo's Jordan deal... which could actually happen. The hornets knew what Miami wanted and drafted him for the sole purpose of getting the extra second round pick.
