2014 NBA Draft Thread

I've been trying to figure out who the Sixers plan on trying to sign or draft in the next couple years to play SG for them. My answer brings me to Saric's teammate Hezonja next year.....

Alex Kennedy @AlexKennedyNBA
Luke Hancock will play for the Orlando Magic's summer league team, according to source.

Tyler Johnson will play for the Miami Heat's summer league team, according to a source.

Brady Heslip will play for the Minnesota Timberwolves' summer league team, according to a source.

(Sorry if I missed this one): Cincinnati's Sean Kilpatrick will play for the 76ers summer league team.

The highlights they picked for Randle on ESPN had him looking look a Young ZBo. Got that low hang time but dude got a fresh *** layup game

In going to rewatch that UCONN vs Kentucky and the Creighton vs Baylor.
I'm rooting for the Lakers and DAMN sure the Bulls this year so I'm watching these 2 guys
Tired of the hate on Rose
Tired of the hate on the Lakers
Hope they both "cook" and "eat"

I really like what orlando did  in the draft with aaron gordan and elfrid payton. All defensive specialist to add to Oladipo's great defense. Could be a young team of the future once they all develop. I think dudes are sleeping on aaron gordans potential as a pro. Elfrid reminds me of a young Rondo
The Magic are gonna be a really crappy team for the next couple years. They have the formula:

A bunch of young dudes who can't shoot (not just FGs but FTs)? Check
No veteran presence (since they traded Afflalo for peanuts)? Check
Bad coach? Check

 I'm not saying they won't be good down the line, but they're gonna be really awful the next few seasons. Especially in the Southeast division which has 4 out of 5 playoff teams

hack-a-gordon every 4th quarter if the game is close

Cleveland passing on Afflalo #4 and #12 for the #1 though.
Jesus Christ, who's running that team?

I'm still torn on Orlando... They made two very good picks for 2 future starters.. but they needed their superstar/franchise guy.

That's why I wanted them to get Exum.. maybe trade up the 12 and Afflalo to get a higher pick and then maybe you could have grabbed Vonleh too? Who knows.. but I think Exum's potential is as high as Wiggins/Parker/Embiid.

Cant believe they picked a tweener over exum when they already have moe & tobias :smh:

Why can't you believe it? If they believe Gordon will be better than Moe and Tobias, then what's the problem? When you're as bad as Orlando, you don't draft need over talent.

This is a pretty simple concept that most people don't seem to understand.

Same w/ Embiid and Noel. You play em together...if it works...great. If not...then you got a pretty damn good trade chip on your hands.

If wiggins is all that people say he is, then I don't see a problem.

Yea but how do you turn down that trade for a SG in Wiggins. Wiggins is good and even if he's the next Harden, a proven Afflalo #4 and #12.....
OUCH!!
Afflalo is expiring and will be an FA next year. The #12 pick doesn't matter, who was it Zach Lavine? That's not a difference maker.

I don't know why people think that trade was good for Cleveland. The missed opportunity imo was Favors + #5 from Utah

Favors is going to be an All-Star center, and at #5 they could have picked up Exum to pair with Kyrie.

Favors will never be an all star playing in the west

He would be an All-Star in Cleveland, which is in the East.
