My favorite is the '97 Neon from the Seoul finalists. Liking the 98 as well. The stories/inspirations of the subway lines, neon lights were the same sources I would have used too.
I think the theme works perfectly on the 97 and 98 personal bias and preference of course. I would have thought an AM 1 or 90 would have been a better model for the ginko leaf/traditional themed 98 though.

Also like the concept of the Shanghai City of Stars.\

I really thought there was going to be a turtle ship/tiger inspired them this time. But overall some of the other countries leaves me scratching my head..like that all black?

I voted for the Tokyo AM1. I don't mind the London 97 or the Tokyo 98. The rest I am not feeling

Yea I figured we could vote each day for 1 in each city. The leader board is by city so I guess each city winner will move to the finals?

Honestly I feel like other cities got to be a lil more funky with the designs.

Or maybe the employees that pick the 3 finalist for each city had an off day.

NYC is by far the worst batch. It’s all subjective but I know they had better designs than that. They’re not terrible but when I look at Shanghai, Paris and Seoul they’re mixing models adding extra materials etc.

How can I design for these things? Feel like I got some cool ideas but I never know how to get involved

Tokyo 98's are FLAMES, THEY WON ALREADY

edit: Shanghai 97's are crispy too, toss up between those

What's going on with the Shanghai 97 upper? Is that tulle to create the 'cloud' effect?

I participated in the NYC event. We could only work on the models Nike chose but I wasn’t sure if we could modify the uppers like the Paris Vapormax or Shanghai 97s. We couldn’t swap uppers with soles ala Wotherspoon 1/97.

Tokyo overall definitely bodied the other cities. Seoul follows as second

Tokyo 95 and Paris 90 also dope
NY 98 is nice

London ones are all trash

Tokyo 98s got my vote. Best pair of the bunch but it’s not saying much. None are that impressive.

just going off the looks, these are my favorites. i started looking at the videos though and it might change. i love watching the designers show their inspirations and processes.

Was between those and the yellow Seoul joints for me.

Most of those are trash.

Some missed the mark of their iwn concept which cracks me up.

Some are dull and boring.

Those ‘bacons’ are a poor GR at best.
