2025 NFL Draft Thread

This is why bad teams stay bad tho. The giant, browns and saints are going to continue being bad for years to come.

Screw an interview, the eye test matters.

More than just an eye test though...Ryan Leaf & Jamarcus Russell both passed an eye test. Hell, Jamarcus did it in the SEC. You just gotta be a different type of dude to be successful in the NFL and those interviews do matter IMO.

It's literally a job interview. IDK if those reports are true or not, but I've read from analysts i've been listening to for years say he's just not THAT good. Then he "reportedly" bombs those interviews...I can see why teams took him off their board if that is the case...

but my eye test does tell me he's better than Dillon Gabriel & Tyler Shough tho :lol

anywho - hope the browns get Hard Knocks

After all these yeaesn finally figured out what's in the briefcase

That Sanders Aura 😵

Frat boy from ole miss is as on brand as anything.

Employe’s family of the team that drafted Deion.

Good on Shaduer for even taking the call to hear him out. I woulda screened that call:lol but shows great maturity and forgiveness that idk if i could have done

I was gonna say the football team should stuff him in his locker every day but hes 21 :|

Raiders are getting praised for their draft class by media/draft analysts and idk how to feel about it. Actually IDK if I even believe it…This class must be *** :lol wtf is happening.

And there were concerning things about both individuals you mentioned but they got overlooked because of the overwhelming talent

Shadeur doesn’t have the overwhelming measurables or talent.. and unlike say Kirk cousins, he hasn’t proved it in the league already

And they cut themselves off from potential employers simply by their actions.. they said they didn’t want to meet with certain teams, so those teams couldn’t get some simple answers to some simple questions

Let’s take the rams, if he had an agent said agent could let them know he’s willing to backup stafford for 2 years and walk into a ready made situation.. but why would the rams risk it if from everything that was presented they would be a headache if he had to wait 2 years or for a stafford injury

Shedeur not hiring an agent through the draft process is "mind bottling"

They approached the process like he was Deion

Without factoring in Deion actually showed up to the combine an ran sub 4.2 plus having Bobby Bowden readily available to vouch for him

It’s not hard to find examples of QBs whose names appeared in first round mocks leading up to the draft and then drop come the actual draft

To steal a quote from Moneyball, “The first one through the wall is always bloody...”. Shedeur and Deion showed future, non-Manning football families what not to do. Especially if your NCAA eligibility has run out.

The NFL is still a good ole boys club where power is consolidated to 30-40 people. NIL gives top prospects more leverage than before and the league will be damned if top prospects start manipulating where they get drafted en masse.

But Travis Hunter just went 2nd overall and he was lockstep with them

And cam ward got paid to go to Miami

But you can only pull an elway, bo jackson or an eli when you have leverage AND most importantly actually THAT level of value.. or even a Deion

League also ain’t have an issue welcoming USFL guys

If I’m remembering correctly, you’re a Washington fan.. I’m sure they wouldn’t mind having a talented backup on a mid round rookie deal for couple years potentially allowing them to only roster 2 QBs for couple years for cheap and then trade shadeur once he’s in year 4.. but Washington probably never got the actual chance to have that convo of if he’d be willing to sit behind Jayden and support him and the team and there was a legit back door to discuss while the slide was happening available since his dad was his coach and agent

How many times do we have to go over this? Shadeur isn't a "top prospect". He's a 2-3 round talent who conducted himself like he was a sure-fire, top 5 pick (when that was never the case).

Eli Manning using leverage to get to the team he wants to play for has less to do with who his dad is and more to do with the fact that he was viewed as a generation prospect. If NFL teams viewed Eli as a 2-3 rounder he would not have been able to do what he did.

Do you guys really think that NFL teams are going to pass up on a QB they think is a superstar as some type of humiliation ritual?

"I know Shadeur is going to be an MVP candidate for the next decade but none of us are going to draft him because we want to punish him!". 😂

No GM thinks like that. Shadeur just isn't that guy. Period
