2025 NFL Draft Thread

How? There have been multiple black QB's drafted already. How is this race driven?

Couldn't it just be Sanders family driven?
And what color is the Sanders family ? :lol

I don’t think it’s much about race, but you know what the folks that run **** look like and are about, and they never miss a chance to flex their power and show ppl that look like the Sanders that they can be “put in their place” especially in the NFL

Feels like a Tebow situation, the GM/coaches don’t want the media circus that comes with Sanders.

He’s not an elite prospect, but you can’t tell me Gabriel is a better prospect

I think the take should be a little more nuanced than this.

Race discussions are NEVER this simple fam

Ok, so then what it is?

I obviously don't have the actual stats of how many African American players have been drafted so far this week, but why not that one, but the rest are all just fine with the 32 teams?

Doesn't it make more sense it's a Deion thing, moreso than race?

What I’ve been trying to say but way more concisely put lol

A league that is 53.5% black, that just had a black QB drafted first overall, a black QB drafted first overall last year (and 2nd overall), is racist

The level of cope because of Shadeur not getting drafted yet is sad man :lol pointing the finger at everyone but him

I think it's probably a combination of things. Deion, Sheduer's flaws, interviews, ect

We all know certain situations certain people get the benefit of the doubt. Sometimes race is involved and sometimes it's not. I'm not putting it all or any on race but I just want to remind ppl though

It's not good practice to say well these black ppl made it so why didn't he? Been hearing at all my life.

Jalen Milroe's non throwing *** getting drafted has nothing to do with how another person of color may be treated or perceived is all I'm saying. Let's be better with that

Did Deon directly say Shedeur wouldn't play for Cleveland or did he just imply it? I wouldn't put it past these GMs to also strongly advise others not to draft him especially if interviews and other things didn't go well.

Don’t think they want a black kid that’s this popular already and rich with the attitude of a professional. We’ve heard so many people talk so highly of him. We’ve seen so many questionable and bad QBs go round 1 in previous drafts. Most people said Sanders was the most pro ready today. We saw him HELP turn around two college programs. This is the wildest **** I’ve seen in a draft when every draft analyst has him as a top two QB.

i don’t think it’s the popularity that is an issue.. or Deion being a high profile former player and current coach

It’s that Deion is super connected to many media outlets and his willingness to be critical in a public manner plus pushing things in an extremely public manner

Look at how Deion was critical of colorado’s oline..

Also doesnt help how they went about the whole draft process

But I think rams would be a good look at this point older locked in QB plus a secured coach and you don’t have super hyper focused fans or media
