2025 NFL Draft Thread

Shedeur isn’t “that guy” after being hyped for 2 years? Cmon bruh. We aren’t saying he’s generational but all the fodder now that he was an afterthought is laughable.

The league made Aaron Rodger’s and Randy moss wait. And they tore the league up. (Not saying Shedeur is either)

In a weak QB draft Shedeur definitely was worthy of a late 1 at minimum

The same league made Lamar wait because he didn’t want to do receiver drills or run the 40.

Thank God for Ozzie Newsome.

They do guys like Lamar and Derrick Henry like that, then guys like Anthony Richardson and Jeanty go top 10 :lol

They punished Derrick Henry for his HIGH SCHOOL PRODUCTION, but he had 150 less collegiate carries than Jeanty :lol

Will Johnson dropped, but Antonio Cromartie was a top 20 pick coming off an ACL. The NFL is just inconsistent with evaluating guys

Same league that did a special about the Bosa boys and their great grandfather being a mafia boss, but are critical of other families with tainted history

None of these guys were “punished”. You’re just doing your normal rambling right now . None of these situations are comparable to Shedeur at all.

Lastly… the NFL has ALWAYS marketed and supported legacy draft picks… they definitely didn’t want to celebrate Deion and his kids

Bro, he said Shedeur just isn’t “good enough”. The NFL tried to say Lamar and Derrick weren’t good enough also. But Richardson and Jeanty were? Cmon man

Lamar literally was a first round pick and Henry was a second round pick . Come on, man. What are we even talking about here? Richardson was picked on measurables and potential.

Shedeur didn’t have the talent level to completely blow off the draft process and he dropped because of it.

Lamar wasnt good enough and still went in round 1??? Derrick Henry wasn’t good enough while getting drafted in the top half of round 2? A round where those draft picks are typically starters??

Yeah, as if the Ravens didn’t trade back UP into the first round. Dude should’ve been top 20. And Henry should’ve gone in the first.

I like how y’all casually gloss over the fact that the ravens traded up for pick #32

I’m just saying lamar and Henry should’ve went earlier in their respective drafts.

Jeanty and Richardson were not nicer than those guys in college, yet both went top 10. :lol :lol

But Travis Hunter just went 2nd overall and he was lockstep with them

And cam ward got paid to go to Miami

But you can only pull an elway, bo jackson or an eli when you have leverage AND most importantly actually THAT level of value.. or even a Deion

League also ain’t have an issue welcoming USFL guys

If I’m remembering correctly, you’re a Washington fan.. I’m sure they wouldn’t mind having a talented backup on a mid round rookie deal for couple years potentially allowing them to only roster 2 QBs for couple years for cheap and then trade shadeur once he’s in year 4.. but Washington probably never got the actual chance to have that convo of if he’d be willing to sit behind Jayden and support him and the team and there was a legit back door to discuss while the slide was happening available since his dad was his coach and agent
Lockstep in what regard? Travis is not repped by Deion. Lil Wayne wasn’t telling the league he’d only play for GB . He met with teams, they raved about him, and viewed him as a unicorn.

Washington only had 5 picks with plenty of roster holes. We already have a backup QB in Mariota who filled in very well when needed. Teams with SB aspirations aren’t worried about being cheap with their backup QB. Foles changed that.

To steal a quote from Moneyball, “The first one through the wall is always bloody...”. Shedeur and Deion showed future, non-Manning football families what not to do. Especially if your NCAA eligibility has run out.

The NFL is still a good ole boys club where power is consolidated to 30-40 people. NIL gives top prospects more leverage than before and the league will be damned if top prospects start manipulating where they get drafted en masse.

And you notice how the manning family was the last to publicly do that:lol :lol

Usually it’s kept in house and comes out after the draft. For weeks/months they said no San Diego, in the media. Eli wasn’t even on Elways level at ol miss. I thought Rivers was the best in that draft class, he killed at NC State too

I remember when the league colluded to teach Tom Brady a lesson.

199. They showed his *** :lol

:{

I remember when DREW HENSON and Brady platooned at Michigan… try again

Lloyd Carr never had complete faith in him :lol :lol

Of course the NFL wouldn’t :rollin :rollin do better next time

But Brady had the majority of the snaps and played more games. So he must have had more trust in him than Henson who didn’t takeover until after Brady was drafted.

Again… he platooned and they had packages for him. A legit blue chip starter would’ve NEVER had to share. Brady wasn’t some preseason, projected top pick.

They didn’t make Brian Griese share reps with Brady either. Brady was drafted in his proper position. A late rounder

When did I say he wasn’t a first round pick? I said he should’ve gone earlier

So should have Dan Marino.

And Joe Montana.

And Phil Simms.

And Aaron Rodgers

Players fall. It's ok. They all get chances to impact the league and their teams.

Cool. He should have gone earlier, but he was still a first round pick. Your trying to compare where he and Henry were drafted to Sanders and they’re completely different types of players.

Marino fell because of DRUG allegations… phil simms went 7th :lol :lol :lol

Montana was never projected high

And Jeff Tedford screwed up Rodger’s mechanics… again. Do better

There’s plenty of guys who should go earlier. But he literally was a first round pick still
Exactly what I’m saying. Using a first round pick that fell in the first round is not the same as a guy who fell to the 5th round

Jeff Tedford had my guy holding the ball like he was playing the flute :lol :lol

And now folks trying to revise Brady’s draft position:lol :lol He got drafted where he was meant to go :lol

I mean Griese was already the starter when before Brady arrived and won a National title:lol:
