i remember in nyc dudes started getting beat down for raiders starter jackets or hats. my school banned them
Man dudes were getting jacked for ANY starter jacket. That Seahawks joint was tough.
They shed light on what's goin on in a certain city/state/block/etc... What NWA did was open the floodgates for cats to basically put the ills of soceity on blast..
That was the beauty of the music back then. We didnt have no internet, but I remember the first time I heard this album and thinking they gothrough the same **$* out there that we do over here. Back when rap was like OUR cnn.
True story: back in the 7th grade, I spit Cube's verse form "Straight Outta..." at a school dance and switched Compton with Corona and N_'sswore I wrote it.![]()
