The Debut Album

Young+Jeezy+-+Let%27s+Get+It+Thug+Motivation+101.jpg
 vs
rick_ross_Port_Of_Miami.jpg

Verdict:
Thug Motivation 101 by a LANDSLIDE... While Ross had a FEW joints on his debut, IMO he struggled to find his sound. Where as Jeezy MADE a niche for his style of rap, and basically had the streets on lock in 05 with his debut...

Winner: Young Jeezy

The Sophmore Album

  vs
00-Rick%2BRoss-Trilla-RGF.jpg

The Verdict:
While Trilla is deffinetly better than his debut, The Inspiration is not as good as Jeezy's debut he still manages to keep pace. Not straying too far away from what made TM101 successful Jeezy stays in his lane, Trilla's production is MUCH better than POM, Ross also made some improvements as an MC, but overall I'd have to give a SLIGHT edge to Jeezy

Winner: Young Jeezy

3rd Installment

jeezy.jpg
  vs
Rick+Ross+-+Deeper+Than+Rap.jpg

The Verdict:
IMO both of these albums are their MOST personal (if you will), they both had something to prove... If they would be able to live up to the standards they set with their previous efforts. The Recession is  a DOPE album, from the production, the theme, and the FINAL product flows VERY well. Deeper Than Rap is also a DOPE album, the production is AMAZING, as is the theme, and the overall flow... What seperates Deeper Than Rap is the fact that Ross got a lil more personal, due to the fact that his credibility was being questioned by 50, he really put togeather a mature sounding album that was the epitome of Gangsta... This is some Paul Castalano type *@++, $300 dollar cigar, $1,000 dinner type *@++... I think he FINALLY found the sound that suites his style of rap, and subject matter.

Winner: Rick Ross

Compilation Album

  vs
triple-cs-custom-cars-cycles-album-.jpg

The Verdict:
I never heard either one of these joints... But judging by the covers USDA's album is prolly better

Winner: N/A

Anticipation:

  vs

The Verdict:
With BOTH of their 4th albums set to drop in the Spring/Summer the anticipation for both is pretty high... Due to the fact that Deeper Than Rap was a lil better than The Recession, I personally will be lookin foward to Teflon Don... But @ the SAME time Jeezy has NEVER made a wack (or even average) album so I'm expecting no difference with Thug Motivation 103

Winner: TIE

Intangibles:

Both artists bring somethin a lil unique to the game, they both have their own swagger... When Ross first came out I thought he was bitin Jeezy a lil bit, but Jeezy operates more on the street level of things, where as Ross is suppose to be some type of Boss. They both are VERY good @ rapping, but lyrically I think Ross is more advanced than Jeezy. Ross rapping comes off as being effortless, he's a natural... Jeezy may have the edge when it comes to making songs and having charisma, but Ross has the edge when it comes to OVERALL talent...

Winner: Rick Ross

OVERALL:

Rick Ross is the better MC/Lyrcist of the 2... Jeezy may have a slight edge as a "rapper"... All 3 of Jeezy's albums are bangers, IMO Ross only has 1 CERTIFIED banger (Deeper Than Rap), his debut is a lil suspect, Trilla was SOLID tho...

Thug Motivation 101 > Deeper Than Rap > The Recession > The Inspiration > Trilla > Port Of Miami

Winner: Young Jeezy

Its Young Jeezy and its really not even close....too many classic joints IMO

Ross has provided two back to back albums that were above average tho...he in a good lane

You have to say Jeezy but thats not a slight at Rawse cause like you stated he's found his lane and if Mafia Music 2 was any indication, Teflon Don will be THAT album

Jeezy easily but Ross is definitely doing his thing. Young just happens to be a monster

Agreed, though I don't know if I would say the Inspiration is better than Deeper then Rap. Hard to choose on that one.

I'm bout to check "Mafia Music 2" out...

EDIT:
Yea that joint is CRACK...

He's continuing where he left off with Deeper Than Rap... Got that mature-mafioso gangsta feel to it, I think he's gonna make that PERFECT album this time around... He made 2 or 3 mistakes on the last joint, all he gotta do is tweek that a lil bit and he's gonna have a GREAT album...

Anticipation:
I gotta go with Jeezy on the anticipation part, TM103 is on alot of people radar while Teflon Don isn't on that same level IMO.  Just on the boards here alone, we saw the hype behind Jeezy releasing another mixtape with Drama, it would be nowhere near that close if Rick FRAUD were to drop a mixtape.  Although Rick FRAUD might be able to produce or put out more bangers, I think ALBUM wise more people would lean towards a Jeezy album.

I feel you...

Jeezy does about double Rick Ross #s each time out...

But for the core fans I think it's about even, I think BOTH albums will be bangers, but Jeezy is goin do better #s

Yeah Jeezy will do more #s....Ross was on the brink of touchin the next level and then the CO fiasco pretty much shattered that ever happening

Far as public opinion I think him n Game are in the same boat....u either rock with him thru the drama and dig his music or u dont really care for him and dont check for his music cuz of all the drama

A more fair comparison would prolly be him n Game to me....I would give Ross the edge on that one cuz even if u dont like the dude his music still speaks for itself

Initially(05/06) I would have said jeezy but his albums get progressively worse to me, while Ross's get better.

Ross'll do 350-400K
Jeezy'll do 750-800K

Lyrically I think Ross is actually a step above Jeezy.

Jeezy just makes better music.

Both rappers are helped greatly by their production tho... take away the good production from both and their music would be disposable.

I see Jeezy just cracking gold...800K is a lot. I mean the recession hit 850K, and that was with "Put On" and "My President is Black." I doubt he has a lead single as big as Put On plus album sales have dipped even since then.

Jeezy- 450-600K range
Ross- 250K-400K range

Although TM101 and s**t on lock in the mid 00's... TM102 is Jeezy's most complete album...

Lyric wise, Jeezy doesn't have an album that's better than any of Ross's albums...

I will agree that Ross has progressed exceptionally better than Jeezy over the past couple of years...

and that Triple C's album >>>>>>>>> USDA album...

and YES!! Teflon Don is shaping up to be a great album!!...
