3 Albums In... Take Your Pick: Young Jeezy vs Rick Ross

Nay you frontin a lil bit on POM. That album had some BANGERS. I don't know about Trilla being better, both have filler but the three track opening squence to Port of Miami is golden.

Other that I agree on just about everything.

TM101 >>>>>> POM

The Inspiration > Trilla.......or......Trilla > The Inspiration (this is a straight toss up!)

The Recession >>>>> DTR

Custom Cars & Cycles > Cold Summer.....even though the first 6 tracks are EPIC!......but CCC takes the cake on this one

Jeezy Mixtapes >>>>>> Ross Mixtapes

Thaatttssss Riiiiiiiiiiiiiiiggghhht!

Great arguement. Ross has taken the Miami rap scene reigns from Trick Daddy and is arguably Florida's best emcee. Jeezy is a ATL heavyweight. With that said, TM101 was a groundbreaking street album and showed the dope game from a Southerners perspective. I think Ross is a bit more lavish and smoother than Jeezy and his lyrical ability has progressed upward every year since he became mainstream in '06. Jeezy's lyrics have gone up and down like a richter scale. I relate more with Ross because I like his themes and kingpin rap persona. Also, he's very stylish for a fat dude. It's a tought arguement. If this was 2005-2007, I woulda said Jeezy. But, from 2008-present, I been rocking with Ross more. (Plus he from the Gunshine so I effs with em)...I'ma go with RAWSE.

I agree with essentially everything that OP posted. Deeper than Rap was

for real. I bumped that for so long. But overall Jeezy has never disappointed so overall I take him over Rick Rizzle.

After listenin to BOTH The Recession & Deeper Than Rap damn near non stop for the past month...

I might have to call it a draw between those 2...

The Recession is a VERY well put togeather album, and he has some flat out bangers on that joint...

Jeezy only has one listenable album for me. And it just happens to be better than any Ross album.

I'm going with Ross, hesitantly. 101 was just so crazy though.

The Verdict:
It was about time for Jeezy & Zaytoven to do a joint togeather, Trap Or Die 2 doesn't dissapoint at ALL... Its vintage Young Jeezy, got that Zaytoven bounce and a hook that you're grandmother would appreciate. Like Jeezy Rick Ross is also started RIGHT where he left off with the FIRST Mafia Music, this time he threw Crisette Michele on the joint, which just takes it to a whole different level... He's back in FULL mafioso rap mode with this joint.

Winner:
Rick Ross (by a hair)

With Jeezy being my favorite rapper, Im trying not to be biased... because I heavily listen to both...
but..

Jeezy is way more consistent than Ross

101, 102, Recession, Cold Summer, Trap or Die, Cant Ban The Snowman, I Am The Street Dream....

..All bangers.

I dont think Ross has enough material to compare to all of that.

Jeezy started this trap %$@
