3 Albums In... Take Your Pick: Young Jeezy vs Rick Ross

Jeezy just makes better music.

Both rappers are helped greatly by their production tho... take away the good production from both and their music would be disposable.

Verdict:
While both of them are UNDERwhelming to an extent, the fact that Rick Ross' co,pletely SUCKS BALLS was a bit disheartning. After the bar he set with Deeper Than Rap, you would think he would continue with that same mafioso vibe over the smoothest of beats, instead you get a mixtape with a bunch of tracks that would've been better suited for Jeezy. Trap Or Die 2 isn't exactly the BEST thing in the world either, but its no bad either.

Winner:
Young Jeezy

Realest thing ever typed in this thread.

Deeper than Rap > Any of Jeezy albums. (Arguable TM 101)

i'll take Ross.

jeezy might have the street bangers, but i just prefer the Ross' lyrics over smooth production.

if we included mixtapes though, this will go a different route, naturally...

Honestly, its a damn tie.

Too many things they one-up each other in.

I hope they do a mixtape together honestly. I'm VERY impressed by these two lately.

For me personally

TM101 >>>> Port Of Miami

Trilla >>> TM102 (for some reason i dont like this album at all besides like 4 songs)

The Recession >> Deeper Than Rap

The Triple C Album > USDA Album

The Albert Anastasia EP >>>>>>>>> Trap Or Die 2

So Jeezy wins to me... Not to mention he had Trap Or Die, Can't Ban The Snow Man and like 2 other tapes

I like Ricky Ross more as of now though

As of TODAY Rick Ross is killing it. He got me so hype for his album after hearing Albert Anastasia. TOD2 was a disappointment. I think Im over mixtape DJs yelling over a track and restarting every song and I think that hurt Jeezy. Also the elementary beats and repetitive hooks that would of been acceptable a few years ago are just not now. Mixtapes are coming out now that actually sound like effort and time was put in them so these throwaway mixtapes sound even worse now.

honestly they're tied... ross got progressively better while jeezy got progressively worse...

Jeezy was never "good". His street cred and being the leader of the "Trap Beat Phenomenon" helped him mask his lack of talent.

You can say Jeezy was never "good", but his catalog speaks for itself...

He can be NOT "good" and have a SOLID catalog much like The Game...

Or you can be hell of a talent like Jadakiss or Fab and drop weedplates...

The choice is yours...

Fab. Talent. Same sentence. Laughs.

Jeezy's 1st album was good. His 2nd album was a C+ Version of his 1st album. His 3rd album was different than his other 2 but still not good. 1/3. And I stand by that.

Still Jeezy far as I'm concerned all he gotta do is keep it consistent with his past 3 albums n he good...We didn't get the artist with Ross latest we got a dude that has a lot of industry friends...that's what teflon don was in 11 songs

What talent do you speak of? The ability to say a nice one liner every now and then? Dane Cook of Hip Hop.

Jeezy has this hands down.

TM101 is FIRE. Recession is very good too.

Deeper Than Rap is Ross' only complete album.

The talent to come from the mixtape level spitting nothin but punchlines, to being able to transform that into HIT records over the span of 9 years...

Been in the game 12+ years... Unless your name is Fat Joe, you don't just hang around the game for THAT long with no noticable talent...

He's a proven HITmaker, has the ability to set the streets a blaze with a mixtape like he did with TINC but can comeback and still make an impact on the Billboard Hot 100...

He has crossover appeal, but still remains street credible... Alot of Ns can't walk that like, Fab has owned that lane for the past almost 10 years...

If he isn't talented, who do you consider talented??
