6.9 quake in Baja California rattles office workers in San Diego
11:48 AM | August 3, 2009

A 6.9 earthquake this morning in Baja California was felt in the San Diego area, prompting some people to evacuate a downtown San Diego office tower.

The temblor hit about 360 miles south of the California border, according to the U.S. Geological Survey. TV news footage showed some office workers milling outside San Diego high-rise buildings, and the local NBC affiliate reported that people had left City Hall.

The temblor struck about 11 a.m. in the Gulf of California, about 49 miles from Santa Isabel. There was no immediate word of damage or injuries.

We're not out on the streets, this is an internet forum. I'm not "snitching" on anybody anyway, it's just damn annoying to see cityspecific topics in General. That's the reason why regional forums are empty anyway, people just post stuff related to where they live in General whichtakes space from stuff the rest of us that don't live in California want to read.

you said cali. not mexico.

plus... im in los angeles. didnt feel noooothing.

why'd you enter the thread in the first place though if you don't want to read it? JUST to direct the OP to the regional forms?

About 60 percent of NT is from Cali, hence the "general population" of NT.

To let people know (if they don't know already) that we have a regional forum and they can post stuff like this in the future, there.

And ya'll are snitching on yourselves by making the topic in General....once one of them sees the topic that sendsup a red flag in their mind that it's not supposed to be there. It's not like they're reading through the replies and my response reminded them ofthe rule

I'm in L.A. and at around that time I did feel my office swaying and my blinds started to move back and forth. I figured it was just a minor quakecentered closer to here. Crazy that I felt one centered so far south, but 6.9 is actually a really big quake.

Ok troll, you can leave this thread now. You've made your point.

With your logic when 9/11 happened that shoulda gone in regional too right? There are some things that will interest people from other regions.
