I'd say a 6.9 earthquake is big enough for General. Plus, who the hell goes in regional forums?

Then why not post this in that regional forum if Cal accounts for such a huge population on here?...therefore down the line if everyone does thatthen that forum will have more traffic.Originally Posted by kix4kix
About 60 percent of NT is from Cali, hence the "general population" of NT.
Check em...there's like 3 or 4 that are really popular actually.Originally Posted by The Yes Guy

Alright, I'm sorry about that. But why are you finding out through NT anyway? Not to get personal, but shouldn't you be finding out fromother friends, his family, etc. if anything serious happened?Originally Posted by XCellzisCrack

We're not out on the streets, this is an internet forum. I'm not "snitching" on anybody anyway, it's just damn annoying to see city specific topics in General. That's the reason why regional forums are empty anyway, people just post stuff related to where they live in General which takes space from stuff the rest of us that don't live in California want to read.![]()

Not every one checks news websites or the news all the time. I'm sure most NTers find their news in General. To me, it's just a regularday and I wouldn't have known that there was an earthquake unless this thread was made in General, or my girlfriend told me. My girlfriend hasn't saidanything to me yet, so this thread helped by being in this forum.
next time you don't wanna read about California, don't click the topic. just don't click it.Originally Posted by JPZx

Just like you don't care about what goes down in Minnesota, I don't care about what happens in California. That means the earthquakes which happen about 15-20 times per year.

General refers to 'general topics' not 'general population'![]()

The majority of people that post/care about earthquakes on NT are the ones that live in California. Less than 5% are in your spot...if you care that much to find out how your friend is doing RIGHT when the earthquake happens how about checking the California regional forums every so often?...because that's where these posts should be.![]()
