I can see a reimagined 5 in our future with a matte 3m tongue, and replicating the ankle cushions like we see here in this collab. And honestly, JB went overboard with the ankle cushions/pads starting with the 99 retro. Because they were almost exactly like how they are on this pair on the og and should’ve stayed that way. Yet here we are where we get a closer to og interpretation on a collab while we get stuck with giant ankle pads/cushions for the last 5 retros. Something like 24 years. You really cant make this up…

Has there ever been an OW or Union collab where the initial backlash wasn’t overwhelming…only to be followed years later by slobbery wet gushing and obscene resell prices?

These are great, will sell out instantly and be worth a lot of money down the road.

Even for the people that did hate those initially, at least the designers took them in a new direction. So there was maybe some adjustment after people had a chance to digest them.

Everything we see here has already been done to death. These will be forgotten just like all the other AMM collabs except the 3s.
