That is . . . if you feel you're an above average player. If you're not then you'll find outsoon enough because the kinds of people you'll be playing against will prove this.
Here's the deal :
My homeboy tipped me off to this. He's on full tilt poker and at some point he decided to test out his luck in a lot of heads-up tournament typesituations. If you even get up to the 20$ level you'll find that your luck can vary as the players at that level can sometimes be of quality, and on top ofthat you'll find yourself going bankrupt a lot faster if you get on a bad streak.
However, move down and start playing the 5-6$ heads up tourneys and you'll find that the level of player there is NOT very impressive, and even if you doget a bad beat . . it's only 5 bucks. My boy realized he was winning more often than not every single day. He lost a decent amount, but he still madebetween 15 to 40 bucks daily just because on average he knew he was going to be better than the guy he was going against.
I've been doing it myself for a couple weeks now, maybe 2-3 hours a day, and I've walked away with more money than I had previously every night I goto sleep. Im not making huge bucks or anything just yet, but that isn't important to me because I'm making cash steadily and consistently without anydramatic upswings or downturns, and because of that I don't expect it to change unless my mental state starts to differ for whatever reason.
The level of talent when you're playing at the $5 range is such that you'll often play against dudes who simply don't give a **** so you'llfind that a lot of wins can come really easy. I've already had multiple wins against dudes who just timed out and quit playing for god knows what reason. Iguess 5 bucks just doesn't matter for a lot of people, but if you really focus and play your a** off like my friend and I have you'll start to see itstack up.
REMEMBER, you HAVE to be PATIENT, I myself have had moments where I've been on a run and I wanna hit the cash tables or move up to a higher $$ level andREALLY make bank fast, but I've been thankful enough to have been able to stop myself.
Good luck to those who have the confidence in their game to attempt this, and remember . . patience. . .
