Suspended him? It's my understanding that he asked permission before the season started and they granted him permission.

to the people calling this kid selfish, please explain to me how you come to this conclusion. to me, a selfish act in this case would be if the school informedhim that if he wore anything other than adidas that the whole school's athletic program would be dropped by adidas and the school would lose millions in abreach of contract. only then, if he still chose to wear the J's and told the school to "F" themselves would it have sounded selfish to me. Isthere something here that I am not seeing?

and to those who might know, will the program continue to wear adidas gear 'til the end of their seasons? i know its football program is outfitted by them.will the golden knights be in different unis when they play texas this weekend?

So what if he is being selfish (though I dont think he is). Why should he worry about the schools other sports. He's there to play bball and when he doeshe will wear Jordan. I dont think any of us would of done anything different if we were in his shoes (no pun intended). Plus its well known Mike doesnt allowhis friends to wear anything but Nike so his kids will mos def be in Nike.

If I'm on the UCF track team, baseball team, swimming, diving or golf team I am pissed right now, lol.

At least here at KU before our adidas deal the above teams didn't get SQUAT. After we signed with adidas they got boxes full of clothing.

The weird thing over on campus (UCF) is that every one is behind him for doing this. Hes staying loyal to his familys name and it benefits the school in theend cause people were always complaining about being sponsored by Nike even when the semester had first started. This incident alone has brought alot ofpublicity to the school and the regular season hasnt even started yet. If/when we get picked up by Nike or Jordan Brand for basketball best believe ourclothing will be sellin like hot cakes in the book store everyones just waiting basically.

His dad is Michael Jordan who from his HOF speech still is hung up on certain things. Maybe the kid has his dad's personality and like Jordan covering uplogo on his Team USA warmups, the son has the same issues.

But then again if your team wore Adidas then Jordan, Nike, Converse or Protege might of been the better option. Not performance wise but because on NiketalkAdidas gets a bad rep because the actions of a few NTers.
