Advice needed.

Is it cheating if you have been with someone for an extended period of time, you take a break and during the break they have a one night stand? 
Can you forgive them and move on from that or is it a done deal after that?
Would appreciate sincere and mature advice.

In my opinion a break is lame. Either be in a relationship and fix it or be done with it. But in this case technically its not cheating, but morally in my opinion it is. You take a break from someone with the intentions of eventually getting back together, so you are pretty much with this person in a sense. But thats my opinion.
