Man... My daughters mother is the same way... It's so much harder when you have a child together...
I know I have said some ^#%& I didn't mean out of anger before... But I also know sometimes I have said some true %#^&... So I think it can be either way...
What I have learned is to not even entertain an argument ESPECIALLY when I'm heated. I just try to calm myself down and get the #&^% away...
She is young and has a lot of growing to do. To me it seems like she has changed a lot since she got pregnant...
Right now I just worry about my daughter. I work about 65 hours a week and focus on the money. Right now I don't have time for the BS....

OP, i think it's a mixture of both (kind of like when a person is drunk).. all inhibitions go out the window and the truth comes out in a malicious & exaggerated way.
