I wish we can measure maturity level/attitude right away. I was 24 when I dated someone who was 19/20 ish. It was terrible after the physical part.

I compared her to the girls. I dated 19/20 year old women when I was 19/20 ish. It just seemed different. Maybe because i was quite immature too.

Hell...I'm 31 and last year I got a text from a coworker asking me if I remembered a girl that we used to work with. He then sent me a screenshot of their text and she was asking if I was interested. I knew this girl was young (20-21), but she was very attractive, so I figured I'd give it a shot. I told my coworker that I'd pursue as long as she knew how old I was before getting into anything. She knew, so I decided it was a go.

We went on 2 dates before I decided that it was just way too hard to relate to these younger girls. Young girls just can't carry a conversation the same way older girls/women can. The girl would have to be exceptionally mature for her age in order for me to consider doing something like that again.

I'm fine with the 26-33 age range with the occasional cougar to mix things up a bit.

what is a dude on this site gonna tell someone thats in a State that AOC is 16, and where they were born & raised dealing wit a 16 year old? i wanna hear it, and this is important because alot of R. Kelly's dealings is within da realm of Legality, and basically in da courts of public opinion.
 
How do y'all respond when you meet a bad one and later findfind she's only 18 or 19? Girls are looking mad mature these days. To make things more interesting, how would you respond if she's 18 but still in hs?
 
It's generally middle class suburban people who think it's strange, in both the Hood and Affluent Wealthy areas you often see relationships with 20 year age gaps....

IMO this isn't a common thing where you're going to be in that situation often like social media would have you believe so how are you really going to know how you'd react? People can front and say they wouldn't but you never know until you've been in that situation. She might look older and y'all hit it up just talk random stuff and by the time you find out might not care.

I dont know if this is true. As fathers, we are probably way overprotective of daughters. I feel like I'm more realistic as I am now.

I don't think 18 and 25 is weird at all if it's just hooking up. Relationship wise I can see it being awkward since it's different stages in life.
 
From a legal stand point, a lot of people don't really have an issue. Its the perception they have an issue with (separating a pure sexual encounter with a perceived relationship). The former is sometimes frowned upon (young or not), its just heightened when the age gap is that wide and includes a barely legal individual.

If you 30 at a strip club and **** an 18 year old dancer in the back room, no one cares because they view strippers as sexual objects. If you 30 and ****ing an 18 year old sales clerk at your job, people look at you weird because they know you'd never entertain a relationship with a chick her age; you're just treating her like a sex object and that bothers people.

Those dudes crave chicks that young for whatever reason. If its 2 chicks, 18 and 26, both attractive with the same body type, some dudes will go for the 18yo because "she'll do what I want", "she's dumb", "I can train her".

Drop the age of consent to 13 and they'll be pulling up to middle schools like "aye its legal man".
