you do realize RETROS are never EXACT compared to OGs...people itch and moan every release. same story every time...go spend $500+ for an OG pair that will probably crumble/fall apart on you...Ill take a retro colroway even if its not EXACTLY like OGs


you can go down the line of retros that are not EXACTLY like OGs.... cement 3s, flint 13s, metallic Vs, cardinal VII, Olympic VII, concords, etc. etc. etc. and they still sell.....

face the FACTS...we will NEVER see a RETRO being an EXACT REPLICA of OGs

be happy (or mad) that you are getting a retro of an OG that has never been made before...people are in for a rude awakening in 2012 if they think retros will look just like OGs

white midsole= 1 pair
if midsole changes to black..then 2 pairs

Putting a 23 on the side and changing the sock liner from solid to checkered should suffice , changing the midsole from black to white in addition to the other changes is just moronic. I collect J's because I'm a native chicagoan and Mj is my all time favorite athlete, it's important to me that jordan brand preserves the basic overall look of a shoe as iconic as this one, he didn't drop 55 at msg in a sneaker with white midsoles

exactly.  changing up "minor" details is one thing.  changing a huge detail like the midsole, something that's very obvious from afar will make these look like fakes imo.  i want a pair of these pretty badly...as long as they stay true to the og colorway.  change it to white midsoles and it's an easy pass from me.  might as well buy some fake chicagos with the og colorway shipped from china on the cheap...would never do that but just saying.

if it means that much to you, you can paint a midsole you know. very easily too i might add.


black or white midsole is an easy cop for me.

Well, so do you think the AJ XI are worth 180 USD?
The AJ XI were sold at 125 USD in 1995/1996 and 2000/2001.

Now they increased the price so much and the quality is still

not on par on the OGs!

I just hope they make the AJ X Chicagos with dull black midsoles.

Not so worried about the 23 or the checkered sockliner.

And hope that leather is better than on the 2005 retros.

Well, originally they were meant to be the Chicago X retros, but with the white midsole 
they altered the look of it too much.

First of all, the original Chicagos were white/black-TRUE red and NOT white/black-VARSITY red.

I don't know why JB is so obsessed with the Varsity red recently. They already did that on

the AJ VI where we had the much darker varsity red instead of the vibrant deep infared on the

general release. Then JB cheated us when they released the infared pack months later!

23 now, i would definetly get them. If white midsoles, 100% pass.
