Even though he screwed up this past decade, let's not forget, that Al is one of the reasons that the league is what it's today. 
Also, he was responsible for the league's first bad boys and biggest rivalies(at one time) of the NFL, in those 70's and the Steeler's - Raider's rivalry. 

Jack Tatum and others, embodied the "Just Win, Baby" mantra. This dude was a legend. 
My pop's is a huge Raider's fan, and I plan to speak to him later today.
