Am I being to thirstyor should I wait a tad bit?

Ok so last week I see there was an opening at my schools IT department, I use to work there back in the day as an intern, but left to get more money.

I send the Department manager an email asking if the position was still open because I notice it was posted like 2 weeks prior, and she says yes the position is still open. So this past weekend I got recommendation letters from all of my professors and I apply to the position late Monday night/early Tue morning.

Do you guys think I should go ahead and send her an email today saying I went ahead and applied, or should I wait a bit? Or should I send campus HR one?

Also my Dean of my college hit me up about a Recommendation letter the last night (I needed 3 sent one to 3 of my professors and him, and he finally responded)

lol how should I tell him I dont need it any more, being that I already got what I needed?

Get the letter from the Dean anyway.

Why insult him by turning it down? What if you need another letter from him in the future and he feels dissed? He doesn't need to know that it won't be used. I would send it anyway, but that's just me...

Yea, thats my thing I didnt want to seem like d-bag and saying "naw I`m good son", lol but dude wants me to write up a draft so he can add some stuff. Oh yea just got hit up by a recruiter from a Company literally 5 seconds ago saying they say my resume online

fam this is not the first time you've made a thread questioning your thirst of attaining a job. I wouldn't say you're thirrsty, just overanxious. Id give it at least a week to flow through the channels. You remind me of my homeboy, son starts panicking mad soon if he doesn't hear back from a job

just like I tell him, they've probably got a lot of other critical things going on, and contacting a new hire may not be at the top of their priority list, but it will happen.
