show me DC looking like this (and if you were smart youd find as many pictures of homeless people as you can....but guess what, THESE PEOPLE ARENT HOMELESS, THIS IS HOME FOR A LARGE POPULATION IN NOT ONLY MEXICO, BUT ACROSS THE GLOBE)

american kids these days...lol

he's comparing US cities (DC, nonetheless) to 3rd world countries and obviously hasnt ever even seen videos of a third world country

LOL

NO PERSPECTIVE WHATSOEVER
Why are we comparing third world countries to Libya and Japan? Libya is a third world country because their dictator has been pocketing all of the money for himself. Japan is no where close to being a third world country. I'm confused on how this was even brought up. By the way I know what third world countries look like. I live in Brazil.

So much ignorance in this thread, there are places in the world certain people in here wouldn't survive a day. Yo son, it's real out here son. It's worse than third world countries. As he types a message to send it over his high speed internet from a website dedicated to a luxury like sneakers.

Anyhow thoughts go out to the people affected by mother nature's wrath.

curious, since you're comparing DC hoods to 3rd world countries, which 3rd world countries have you visited for extended periods of time to have such a perspective on the contrast between the two?

come on son i was using a hyperbole to make the point that it ain't all sweet here
I'm from here and it's better in DC and B-More than you think. Talk to Detroit or some place in SC...you have never seen something so sad.

Your pissed off that we are helping a country that invests heavily in the US? Japanese companies from Toyota to Sony employ thousands of Americans. When Katrina happened, the Japanese sent over supplies. As for Libya they are a potential ally in a key part of the world. It is in the USA's best interest to become partners with them.

You really gonna compare an American inner city to a 3rd world country?

Just imagine while we're all sitting here gossiping in front of our computers. Someone or somebody is fighting for their life trying to breathe through all that mud and debris. I can feel their pain and sense their fears through my own imagination.

OP clearly has a hard time tuning into that sense. Which is why he made such a noob comment starting this thread. He's just proven to us all that he has no heart and that's something he can take to his grave.

Lock this up.

Alot of people are jumping on OP like a pack of savages instead of understanding where he's coming from :smh

you guys are so ready to make a snide pseudo-intellectual comment that you never step back and examine the situation from another viewpoint.

But while I can see what OP is saying and it has some validity to it, you have to remember the gov't could've done something about cities like D.C., Detroit and other such areas a long time ago so to say that you dislike the fact that their sending help to a foreign country over it's own is really misdirecting the blame. It's not that their helping someone else rather than it's own people, it's more so why haven't they helped u.s. cities that needed it a long time ago.

Of course you have also add that in the U.S. it should be more about the people finding ways to do for themselves what they need to do instead of depending on the gov't but in bad areas their's so much people need to deal with that a bit of assistance on the right path would be beneficial.
