Me and my brother used to collect cards from like 9 - 12. We are both in our mid 30s and have some cards at our parents house. I'm hoping we can hit a lick while the market is hot. I have not looked at those cards in at least 17 years.

I'm in the same boat. Mid 30s and collected cards from the late 80s to the late 90s. Have them all at my parents house. I know I have an entire binder filled with Jordan cards. Another filled with Kobe, AI, Shaq etc. Going to visit my parents this weekend to pick them up.

Yup...first time ever I have seen archives sell out like that. Man, what a time to be alive.
I went to 3 stores today before heading to San Jose and all sold out. Just last month, 2019 archives were still in some stores. I scooped up 6 blasters 2 weeks ago when "The Kid" vol. 2 went off or whenever he went off.

Not everyone is a flipper but for those who try to flip archives, good luck lol. Archives are fun to open but cards aren't worth much.

I know there are folks in Sacramento. This is the Walmart on Truxel Road. He restocks at opening 7am now so he can hook up his peep...Get there at opening or you will lose out. I was on my way to the south and stopped by at 7:30 to see what they got left over.

Its all good tho. Best believe, I get mine. Target is where its at!!! Could have bought more but left a lot behind so others can eat.

Still can't find soccer tho. Secondary market it is.

I think people buying out Archives to flip thinking it's Bowman or Chrome are in for a rude awakening.

That being said I absolutely went to my LCS and got a hobby box to rip since it's been a while and this is the only affordable product available right now. This was a really fun box to open with so many different card styles and inserts plus two autos.

May pick up a hobby box to rip. But really wanted to buy some retail to check it out before paying for a box. Looks like I may not have a choice.

I'll buy a few boxes myself and singles. I wanna put together that whole Giant card set. A lot of people don't like that giant card but I love it lol. I have a few of those 1964 Mantle Giant.

So my daughter called me this morning, she was at a Walmart that has been EMPTY since March. Today, they had reloaded and had a ton of Chrome. I almost cried. I told her to take all 9 boxes. (For me, not to resell) Literally, as I am talking, she said some guy was on the phone telling someone else (LCS probably) and he grabbed 4 of the Chromes. So I got 5, and then 3 boxes of the Archives. So I got "something" for a change, but I could have had a lot more.

I'm going to be haunted by those 4 boxes for a long time I bet.

What's up y'all...I know this is a SPORTS Card thread, but I've been popping in and out over the past few months watching this Project 2020 thing play out...an idea came to me shortly after seeing the first P2020 cards and I ran with it.

Anyway, just wanted to share this with y'all...I built a set of custom SNEAKER CARDS based on the shoes Kobe wore throughout his career.

I've been working hard trying to get it ready for 8/24 and - yea - it's finally ready...I know there's a lot that can be said about something like this, but I had a blast building it...would love some feedback!
