Curious on what the value is now that it’s auto’d^
It can vary pretty widely depending on a few things.

Some people will only authenticate the auto but you can also grade the auto(which doesn’t add very much value), and you can also regrade the card condition (which can affect the value quite a bit).

Also, there are paid signing signatures that can bump up the value, as well as added inscriptions that can push it to crazy numbers.

Check these completed eBay sales. The first one is like the auto I got, without taking card condition into account. They didn’t even have the condition of the card graded

Then there’s these. Both from paid signings. Top one has the inscription, bottom one is his paid full sig.

That said, to answer your question, the auto turned my $600 PSA 7 into a $2k card roughly.

Signed rookie cards are the wave right now. There’s a huge market for em, back in the day they’d say that it would hurt the value but not anymore.

Yeah growing up it was a no no but that has changed

Saw someone buy that Bird/Magic/Dr J card in a PSA 3 or something - had all 3 sign and it SKYROCKETED

I've yet to see anything phenomenal from Fanatics. If their Jersey moves says anything, I'm worried.
The Topps MLB Debut Patch thing is a dope idea. Surprised nobody in here has talked about it.

I’m not a big baseball person much anymore but, for those that don’t know, they’re having rookies wear a “debut patch” for their first game and will be including them as gameworn patches in packs.

I only buy NBA jerseys so I’m not familiar with other sports stuff from em but, while I’m not a fan of their NBA jerseys, I think it’s cool they have something that’s licensed and cheaper than a Swingman, for the casual demographic/those that can only afford a cheaper option.

As far as cards go, it’s a completely different section of the co, it just happens to be under the Fanatics unbrella. I’m cautiously optimistic. I love that they went after the licenses and brands like Topps. Panini has fumbled the bag in many respects so I’m happy to see where Fanatics takes the hobby

Topps Chrome basketball alone, once the licenses fall into place, will be a phenomenal product to have back

What’s up all! Sorry to post in here as I am not a card collector (was when I was young, I’m almost 40 now). I literally don’t know much about sports cards now a days. But, my dad gave my son a ton of my old 90’s basketball cards and football cards. Are any of these worth keeping around or are they not worth too much. I know you have to get em graded and what not. Just wondering if my son should be more careful starting to collect with all these old cards. Since there is a ton, I only took a pic a few of what I thought might be worth it (there’s tons more, and more players… shaq, magic Johnson, other 90’s stars)
