Are Retro Releases hard to get online?

I've been buying on Craigslist for a while and I thought maybe I should start waiting till they release at the time online but is it hard to get?

Do they go out of stock fast?

Cause eastbay had the powder blue 10's and I got it at 8am and they sold out at 12pm.
Does that mean all shoes will tend to sell like this at eastbay?

Yes it's hard to get. They disappear quickly. PB10's were MASS produced too.
