Anyone see the video of him walking off the field? His swag is apparently off the radar too.

He threw a 102 mph pitch tonight in his major league debut

CINCINNATI (AP)—Aroldis Chapman was too fast to hit.

Soon, the Cincinnati Reds could be too far ahead to catch.

The Cuban defector made an eye-opening big league debut, topping out at 102mph during his perfect inning, and the Reds added to their rapidly growing leadin the NL Central by beating the Milwaukee Brewers 8-4 on Tuesday night.

Cincinnati wrapped up the best August by any team and moved a season-highseven games ahead of St. Louis, which lost to Houston 3-0. The Reds haven’t ledby so many games since 1995, the last time they reached the playoffs.

Now, they have a radar-busting reliever to help them get there again.

“Aw, that was a wonderful debut,

Awesome debut from a fellow cuban. Viva cuba. I hope he proves me wrong, but I don't think he'll be able to maintain that velocity for long. Unless he knows something we don't, he has to find a way to maintain that speed.

lmao @ rashi and the biggest reason why he came to cincinnati is because of our language program. something most pro teams are heavily lacking at.

Odd, in all the video I watched of him before he signed in Cincy he hit 100 maybe once or twice. Then all of a sudden in the minors he's hitting 100-102 with relative ease.

He still really needs to continue his work on his secondary stuff (which has gotten better). I think the Reds are gonna start him next year.
