I thought this was the case too....until I caught an A's game in Seattle and a row behind an A's fan who spent 9 innings verbally abusing possibly the nicest fans in the world.

I'm an A's fan before a Giants fan, but I don't hate the Giants.

I grew up in the south bay so i'm thinkin that's gotta be why. i just never felt i needed to hate either one of them. but then again i'mnot that big of a baseball fan.
