Alpha...I was actually repeatedly swearing at my screen when I saw your picture, it's ridiculously awesome. Moreover, thinking that that is just a "quick sketch" made in a short amount of time makes me go crazy.

You're insanely talented, and it's high time for you to get the respect from Nike you deserve. One day I will hold your first designed Nike sneakers in my hands, telling myself that this one is from Alpha, who had his beginning at Niketalk.

Either that or Fila will take over the market thanks to you.

Sorry if this reply is slightly unrelated, but wouldn't it be hot if prestos have leather bits rather then the normal plastic flappy things...

i can imagine a genuine presto 'escape' (brown coloway)...

and if this jordan 1 can be made into a 'presto jordan' with leather parts attatched to it... it'll be REAL nice...

Amazing...I was in awe when i saw these. Is Nike blind, you should be on their creative team. Have you applied to them yet?.Your work is incredible man, keep it up.

So how is your process towards being a professional designer going? I am sure you are trying are you not ALPHA? If you are not I highly recommend you contact Nike somehow and send in some of your sample designs. Be sure to include this one along with a note telling them in only took you an hour. I think Nike or any other shoe company would be foolish to look past you. Shoe designing as a hobby on a scale as what we just saw isn't very common. I believe they would be more than happy to give you a chance!

The one and only head here representin' the 760. It's a hard job holdin the entire 760 down but somebody's gotta do it.
 
Nike knows about Alpha. He got an offer from them after he signed with FIla. However the boy wants to start off on his own and go elsewhere from there. More power to you Alpha.

Nike has one of his designs already. They stole it to make the Shox XT...

Damn, Alpha. You are like the DJ premier of shoe renderings! I'm always amazed and inspired by your designs. To think, all that money Nike spent on those fugly Nu retro's and we coulda been rockin these!!!! Nice work bro. Those fila's are hot too!!

AP, I'm seriously considering going back to school to do Industrial Design perhaps even next year. Applications close in about a month for next year.

Do you reckon you could hit me up with any advice on what to look for in a course or about work experience? I'm in Australia so I'm not looking for advice on particular schools as I'd be studying here, just after any general advice you might have.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

I have not seen any of alphas drawings but this one is definitely amazing. I was just wondering what type of program or whatever is used to create the shoes. Im sure its not just pen and paper. is it a computer program or what?/
 
alpha, that is an amazing design, love how u made it modern yet kept it still old school, if you gave me the pic of the newer shoe i could still tell it was the jordan 1, yet so modernized, an EXCELLENT JOB....keep up the great work

Wonder how long it took Humphrey to design a shoe that basically looks like he took a highlighter to it to draw a blue line along the bottom. (See the sketch on pg 111 of KICKS 5.)

I'm still shakin my head at that design AP, simply amazing!
