People actually liked this +!*@. I tried to watch it but ended up turning it off before it even got to the halfway point. For some reason it made me want to throw up. James Cameron you get a complimentary

And before y'all try anything...

I absolutely hated Avatar, but it seems that Cameron is really invested in expanding the mythology he's created (hence the 2 sequels forthcoming). Just from some of the things I've read, it sounds like he wants this to be his "Star Wars."

Still, the guy directed 2 of the greatest sci-fi films of all time in Aliens and Terminator 2 so I can't criticize him too much.

People were captivated by the cgi and w/e other special effects. Not the piss poor story or average acting.

i actually liked it. Story line was average, but the visuals kept me interested.

I guess it's because i've never really been a fan of the sci-fi/fantasy stuff. I can honestly say that I've never seen any of the Star Wars movies. I prefer movies that depict real-life situations, as in stuff that can actually happen. Not no damn 10 feet tall non basketball playing, bird riding, tail-sexing, non-english speaking aliens.

rite I didn't giv it a chance but i do think it wus overhyped simply bcuz of the expensiv budget and timeframe of makin it, I'm not a fan of that sorta movies anyway. more of a romantic comedies or realistic drama kinda person
