THE FIRST PROJECT, I HAVE TO DEVOTE TO MY WIFE. I WILL PUT UP A WOOD FENCE PERIMETER AS SHE DOES NOT LIKE CHAIN LINK, THEN THE REAL FUN BEGINS. I'VE BEEN GIVEN FREE REIGN TO DO AS I PLEASE SO THE FIRST PROJECT WILL BE THE MAN CAVE IN THE BASEMENT. WILL LEVEL THE FLOORS, CARPET, AND DRYWALL THE BASEMENT. WILL LEAVE CEILING AS IT IS, PAINTED BLACK, AS I LIKE THE LOOK.

NEXT, WILL BE THE GARAGE. THE FLOORS WILL BE EPOXIED AND DRYWALL WILL BE HUNG AND PAINTED A LIGHT GREY. THE REAL ISSUE IS, I HAVE A 4 POST LIFT SITTING IN STORAGE AND I MEASURED THE CEILINGS IN THE GARAGE TO BE 9 FT. AFTER MEASURING MY GT350 AND MY WRX I NEED THE BOTTOM OF THE GARAGE DOOR TO BE AT 10FT SO THAT I CAN STORE THE 350 ABOVE THE WRX. I WILL NEED TO TALK TO AN ENGINEER/ARCHITECT ABOUT CHANGING THE ROOF TRUSSES IN THE GARAGE TO VAULTED CEILINGS IF POSSIBLE AND EXTEND THE GARAGE DOOR RAILS, OTHERWISE I WILL HAVE TO SELL THE LIFT.

EXCITED TO GET STARTED ON THESE NEW PROJECTS.

WILL ALSO BE A BIT ROUGH FOR A FEW MONTHS AS WE WILL HAVE TO CARRY THE MORTGAGE OF THE NEW HOUSE AND OUR HOUSTON HOME UNTIL IT SELLS. Kind of wondering, how the housing market is going to be this year and next...trying to decide if I should hold out buying another property.

Houses are flying off the market it seems... Inquired about 5 houses within past week or so, all were sold within a week

Crazy within a year how much houses have jumped... I’ve been comparing sales from last year to what people are asking for now... Houses on same block, people are asking about $50k-100k more

This is in Long Island at least... Not sure about other places
 
Dope house up there...if only I could fork over the cash for these houses in LA >D Have a hard time swallowing it knowing I could get 10x the house if I moved back to the Midwest

BRO YOU AREN'T LYING. AT LEAST IN THE AREA IN CLEVELAND WE ARE BUYING, THE HOMES ARE JUST FLYING. MY WIFE AND I WENT TO 8 OPEN HOUSES. SOME OF THEM HAD OFFERS PUT IN WHILE WE WERE VIEWING THE HOME AND THEY ALL SOLD BY END OF DAY. A FEW OF THEM WERE EVEN SOLD BEFORE WE ARRIVED AT THE OPEN HOUSE. :lol:

WHEN I WOKE UP ON TUESDAY, I HAD NO IDEA I WOULD BE BUYING A HOUSE THAT DAY BUT OUR REALTOR CALLED US AND TOLD US HE HAD A HOME HE THOUGHT WE WOULD LIKE SO WE RUSHED OVER AND VIEWED IT AND IMMEDIATELY MADE AN OFFER.

DON'T KNOW WHAT HAPPENED, BUT WITHIN THE LAST FEW WEEKS THINGS HAVE EXPLODED HERE.

I CAN'T EVEN IMAGINE. I HAD DREAMS OF LIVING IN L.A. OR SAN FRANCISCO. LOOKED UP THE HOME PRICES AND THAT WILL JUST STAY A DREAM OF MINE. I'M NOT EVEN SURE HOW PEOPLE SURVIVE IN THOSE CITIES UNLESS YOU EITHER ARE WEALTHY OR YOU SERIOUSLY DOWNGRADE YOUR LIFESTYLE.

IN 5-6 YEARS, WE ARE MOVING TO SEATTLE, SO NOT LOOKING FORWARD TO BUYING UP THERE EITHER LOL
 
Memphis, if you're working with a realtor im sure they already told you this but hold off on buying/doing anything that will ping your credit until you have signed the paperwork. People have lost deals between the acceptance and signing paperwork due to buying furniture on credit, quiting their jobs etc.

Edit: after rereading your posts, looks like you were a homeowner in the past, I'm sure you're aware. Congrats, brotha!

YEA I'M WELL AWARE. HAD A BUDDY LOSE A HOME BECAUSE THEY WENT AND BOUGHT A CAR BEFORE CLOSING :smh: . I'M STILL A HOMEOWNER, I JUST LIVE NO WHERE NEAR THE HOUSE I CURRENTLY OWN LOL
 
Denver real estate market is crazy. My home was on the market for less than three weeks.

Moved to Overland Park, KS and the market is crazy here too. Albeit not as expensive as the Denver market but good homes in the 350k range are being sold in a week or less.

Keep getting outbid on 600k houses by over 100k

CLOSING IS SET FOR END OF APRIL SO MAY 1ST IS THE TARGET MOVE IN DATE. I'M HOPING TO HAVE THAT DATE MOVED UP. THE COMMUTE TO WORK FROM THE HOUSE WE ARE CURRENTLY LIVIN IN IS 70 MILES ONE WAY. DON'T KNOW HOW MUCH LONGER I CAN DO 140 MILES ROUNDTRIP MONDAY - FRIDAY. IT IS BRUTALLL. THE NEW HOUSE IS 3 MILES FROM WORK :smile:
