OP, you should listen to some Grouper and Julianna Barwick. Where Devotion is baroque these tend to lean more toward ambient, but I think that if you enjoy this, you should enjoy JB and Grouper.
Once you start to enjoy those we can move you on to more ambient like Yellow Swans, Noveller, and Excepter.
