Beats by Dr. Dre

No. I highly suggest the Sony MDR-7506 or MDR-V6. They are both virtualy the same, one is just the newer version. I'm a sound engineer and these are anindustry standard for a reason. Another company sells velor ear pads that make these amazing. They also only cost about $100. Ive heard the Dres ad they arenothing special at 240 or even 180. Stay away from bose too.

^ YES, finally someone that knows what they're talking about. Kudos

What's the difference between both?

I've always wanted some Beats... but never wanted to drop the cash. I'm probably going to look into those Sonys that AusZero mentioned

I too have a pair. Well spent money I must say. Noise cancelling is top notch.

No they're not worth it. A lot of people who have them and swear by them haven't tested out or tried other high priced headphones. There are definitelybetter quality products for a cheaper price, don't buy them without researching and listening to other brands yourself.

Like I said in any other thread about headphone. I got a pair of MDR-V600 since I was in 9th grade for a Music Tech Class, my teacher was sayinghow they're industry standard and stuff too. At time I didn't believe it, until I saw on YT video of producer/songwriter such as Timbaland, Powlow dadon, Hans Zimmer, Keri Hilson, 9th Wonders etc with it on their head... hell even big %%$ studio producing scores for movie such as The Dark Knight andSpiderman 4 use them. The quality is supperb! I abuse the hell out of mine and it been a good 4 years now still working like I got it yesterday

Me too sometimes I think some people don't like them just because they are hyped so much. I also agree with whoever said they make hip hop, techno, stufflike that sound real nice. I have the Tours (for commuting and the gym) and love them but I wouldn't mind getting the headphones also. I'll try someof the other suggestions also when I get a pair of headphones.

it all depends on what your buying em for. If you are looking for sound quality, look elsewhere. That kind of $$ on headphones can go a lot further on adifferent set. If you wanna neckbreak, this are them.

if they're really made by skullcandy, then you must be damn near a +#@#%+! to pay $240 for some gimmicky headphones that are nowhere close to audiophilestandards

save $40 and get some sennheiser HD25, true sound quality and lightweight as well

dont buy into the hype kids...plus dre is old and fat and detox is never coming out.
