AKA The Visionary @BigHomieKODAQ I’m perfectly fine standing on this hill by myself. But wanting HBCU culture at white schools… instead of going to an HBCU… is weird. -

I kinda felt like this with Ralph Lauren HBCU line. Morgan State was the only one I supported with their merch because I spent a lot of good times there when I had friends who were enrolled, but couldn't see myself buying HBCU stuff from RL.
I ain't mad at RL it's a business. JS if I was to start supporting Morehouse I would go through MH.Went to an HBCU...these are not majorettes
"Another Twitter user took the opportunity to provide a history lesson and cautioned Princess about referring to her group as a “majorette team” instead of what the tweet claimed was the more accurate term of “J-Setting/Drill Teams”. The Twitter user said that style of dance was originated at an HBCU.
“While individuals are using the terminology ‘Majorettes’ to describe this dance-style, that is actually incorrect; the proper connotative word is ‘J-Setting or ‘J-Settes’ or ‘Drill Teams’, which is a derivative of the Jackson State University ‘J-Settes’ from whence its named,” the tweet said."
Felt the same about those pins.
Knowing the history, cant be mad at RL TBH.

Still wouldn't catch me with RL HBCU gear on tho. (If a Morgan State line is released I reserve the right to change my mind) Bravo to RL and the donations.Either way...cant go wrong.
The line was dope. The idea was dope. The execution was dope. Plus...
HBCUs get another big gift before holidays: $2 million from Ralph Lauren Foundation
Morehouse, Spelman and 10 other institutions will target the donations toward scholarships that create retail pathways for students.
The Ralph Lauren Corporate Foundation announced it is contributing a total of $2 million to 12 HBCUs to help support new scholarships for Black students over the next five years, helping them overcome barriers such as systemic racism and inequality in education.
“Students represent the best of the human spirit—passion, curiosity and boundless dreams,” said Ralph Lauren, Executive Chairman and Chief Creative Officer of Ralph Lauren Corporation. “When all students have an equal chance to succeed, their dreams become realities and inspire us all.
I bet it is. RL is prolly my most owned designer for clothing. It being cheaper than the campus bookstore is a surprise tho based off my RL experienceWent to an HBCU.
RL > Student Union gear
Same price too.
Edit: RL probably cheaper![]()

Not that I know of. I was saying I bought MS gear from the school itself.Hold up.
RL did Morgan gear? Where at
Regarding the topic of that tweet, I’ll reserve judgement.
Morgan Grad here: they gave me a free ride in my desired field of study, and I enjoyed my time there. I know HBCU’s ain’t for everyone, but I would recommend it, especially for our brothers and sisters who went to PWI schools their whole lives leading up to college.
