Black upper class

I honestly don't know the main reason, maybe it's that money is new to blacks? Maybe in 50-100 years blacks will dominate the billionaire list, whoknows.

How is money new to blacks? That doesn't make sense at all.
Why can't these upper class blacks stay fly without hate?

How is money new to blacks? Are you ******ed? Slavery ended not even 200 years ago. Money IS new to black people.

I'm done with this thread, anytime someone gets proven wrong on NT they go into hiding or respond with a stoneface.

Black wall street was the only relative wealth that was accumulated by blacks. It got bombed in the 1940's, shortly after world war II. The blacks thatlived there studied princples of wealth and then passed those down to siblings, children and any youngin growing up in the city, it was real close-knit.

Why can't we reconstruct it again?

In the article I read that 200K black millionaires grew from 1988-1998, to me it seems blacks are making modern money from ventures that don'tinclude "wealth" but more like independent agencies that cash out independently. Jay-z and p-diddy are examples of that, indeed they are"wealthy" but the inner cities from which they came from glamorized drugs, and all the illcilitified things that occur in the hood, so the motive oftheirs to get the hood had to be deep rooted, because it sure wasn't in their circumfrence. There is a fine difference, times changed, and blacks makemoney for themself without handing down those principles they had as a 'village' to children on black wall street. BWS we're filled with lawyers, scientist, teachers, positive roll models that we're looked up to, like obama himself could never match the stature of influence and representation asblacks did on BWS. Socially, wel'l take the status of a black president, but without reconstruction of hoods what's the use?

Have you been in either circle to make that judgmental call? I do not believe this is true--just from personal experiences.

Ignorance.

And kix, i wouldn't call them sellouts, because i know many west indian/african immigrants who harbor the same sentiment about african americans.

Fact. How many wealthy black people can you name?
Bob Johnson
Oprah Winfrey
Aliko Dangote
Robert L. Johnson
Reginald F. Lewis

stop failing

"I ain't talking Oprah, I'm talking Bill Gates." Roughly 800 billionaires exist and you can name 5 that are black
laugh.gif
There is NO wealth in the black community. Chris Rock said it best, I would embed the vid but I don't feel like getting banned.
just because they're not Bill Gates wealthy doesn't mean they're not wealthy---$%!.

I know, but out of roughly 800 billionaires, 5 are african american. Numbers don't lie.

You don't have to be a biillionaire to be considered wealthy. Also blacks are approximately 12% of the population, so of course the percentage in thebillionaire list will be greatly outnumbered. NT'ers say the strangest things.

Too many cusses, not worth getting banned over... I'm done here for the 2nd time. I see Gordon Gekko reached his post limit for the day.

If you are basing your world perspective and analysis of economics off of a comedian....you lost.

Some of y'all would look at a white person with less money than Jay-Z or Puffy and label then as wealthy.

So you're posting a comedian to backup your point
laugh.gif
he made some points, but he wasn't 100% correct. There are several wealthy people of all races.
But for real, does it really matter?

IMO yes you do. I'm not basing anything off of a comedian, I just agree with his points. I don't understand it's so hard for some of you to admitthat no wealth exists in the black community.

How about NO. man up, you clown. you posted a video that was highly racist, and included NUMEROUS racial slurs. you've been reported to the mods.

We're talking about today. If you were always Kings and Queens, where did all the wealth go? Why wasn't it passed down from generation to generation? The number's ain't adding up to back up you're points. We have 800 billionaires in the world as of right now. I believe 3 or 4 of them are AfricanAmerican and their at the very bottom of the list. C'mon now...

Son, @%%!, acting like you don't hear the word 100 times a day everyday. You PM me calling me a %*@@%% and shout slur, %*@$ outta here.

Wealth is of the heart and mind and not of the pocket.

EDIT:
We're talking about today. If you were always Kings and Queens, where did all the wealth go? Why wasn't it passed down from generation to generation?

Uhm , the wealth went with the Europeans .

You ever heard of Julius Ceasar ? You ever head of the Trans-Atlantic Slave Trade ?

It's ignorant to say that money/wealth is new to Black people .

Where do you think all the money went ?

You're so oblivious to everrryyttthiinggg , you gotta be kidding me .

Come correct in your next reply , I'm begging you .
