Wow . Don't come in any of these types of threads ever again .

Last time I left the thread, your leader PM'd me calling me out, you can blame him for this escalating. Maybe I have made some ignorant statements in thisthread, who hasn't made an ignorant statement at one point? It's easy when its 10 on 1. African Americans make up for .5% of the world's wealthiestpeople (billionaires) and you honestly can sit there and tell me that wealth exists in the black community?

, Yes that means I'm leaving the thread.

If you are going to combine wealth and race you cannot talk about the top, because the numbers are going to be overwhelmingly uneven.

You have to bring stable numbers over millions of the population and compare black upper class with that of white. In the book OP is referring to the blacksmentioned are typically from Southern traditions of profession, and marriage having more to do with name and appearances than actual wealth, although that is aconsequence of the conventions they follow.

The black upper class is doing exactly what they are entitled to doing, relationships, and prestigious schools based off of name alone has been a systematicweapon of whites for centuries in America. Because they use this system which is modeled after the aristocratic culture of the south does not mean that theyare uncle toms. In short they just sold out. Which just like any artist can you really blame them in the end?....I can't.

My leader ? I've never liked Gekko ... EVER .

Why do you think there's a lack of wealth in the Black community ? I just want to know your reason .

So AKA...there are only 800 wealthy people on the face of the Earth in your eyes then?

And most NBA owners are not even Billionaires.

Only 8-9 of them are...and one of them is a black man....

Didn't mean for my statements to come off as racist, which I don't think they did and like I've already said, maybe some of my statements wereignorant.

Son, @%%!, acting like you don't hear the word 100 times a day everyday. You PM me calling me a %*@@%% and shout slur, %*@$ outta here

NT is way underestimating the impact of slavery

Even after slavery , sharecropping set folks back,

gotta read the entire thread though

In my eyes yes, that's how I view wealthy people. Maybe growing up in a "rich" household makes me view wealth differently, Idk. And Chi ILL Iwasn't referring to you about the Gekko statement.

Jay-Z Net Worth is equal to or greater than the dude that signs Shaq's check
laugh.gif

And its about 4 times greater than about 5 NBA franchise owners.

So they are wealthy but he's not?

You ever heard of Julius Ceasar ? You ever head of the Trans-Atlantic Slave Trade ?

It's ignorant to say that money/wealth is new to Black people .

Where do you think all the money went ?

You're so oblivious to everrryyttthiinggg , you gotta be kidding me .

Come correct in your next reply , I'm begging you .

I never said the guy that signs Shaq's checks is wealthy, Chris Rock did. I didn't agree with 100% of the things he said and I never said he did.I've already stated that my view on wealth is to be a billionaire. If Jerry Buss isn't a billionaire, he isn't wealthy IMO. If Jay isn't wortha billion, he isn't wealthy IMO.

Honestly, there's too much a me, myself and I mentality in the hood, everybody is out for themselves. I've had friends that were "hood", andthey just have a different mindset obviously. It's not cool to go to work and go to school, people want fast money, which always leads to somethingnegative. I think that's a major factor in the lack of wealth in the black communities.

If you have admitted ignorance, and opted to leave. Why are you still here?

There are more than 800 wealthy people in the state of New York fam....much less the entire world.

When you consider that the wealth of several hundred Hamptonions set up cities like Daytona Beach Florida and places like Beverly Hills has more collectivewealth than many nations...you would be a fool to think that.

Billionaires are uber-wealthy....the wealthiest of the wealthy but once you start dabbling in the hundreds of millions...you are wealthy.

Wheter you are high-classed or elite is another story.

When money is working for you with corporations involved that is to be considered wealth.

K--I don't even know you addressing him. I gave up on this thread a long time ago

So in your mind, a person worth 300 million would be considered wealthy? I'm not looking to start an argument, I'm just curious.
