The world has met Cory Matthews — is it time now to meet his daughter? The Disney Channel is in the early stages of developing a Boy Meets World sequel series called Girl Meets World, TVLine has learned exclusively.

Sources say that the cable network is trying to land original series stars Ben Savage and Danielle Fishel to revisit their roles of sweethearts Cory and Topanga, who married before their ABC sitcom ended its seven-season run.

The new series would center on their preteen daughter. Since wrapping Boy, Savage’s TV guest-star gigs have included Bones, Chuck and Without a Trace. Fishel’s post-Boy work includes National Lampoon Presents Dorm Daze and hosting Style Network’s The Dish.

Not totally sure if want, but if they gather back the whole crew including Feeny it'd be great to see

nah man, don't mess with what once was a good thing. i'm content with the boy meets world re runs on mtv

I pretty much only watch sports these days, no need for the Boy Meets World re-make...

no ones wants to see cory divorce topenga and have a midlife crsis while shaun commits suicide because he never amounted to anything

edit: that actually sounds pretty good. HBO pick this up!

Wont work, OG is classic, just leave it alone

Gotta feeling Disney is about to start messing up the classics

Nah man. I mean maybe one last fap to Topanga but that's all this would be good for. Some of these ppl just didn't age well. I thought Feeny was dead.

Would be nice to see them all together. **** breaks lose when they bring back Even Stevens

It wouldn't ruin anything, this isn't the Godfather or anything... and I'm a HUGE Boy Meets World fan. The old episodes would still be awesome and hold their nostalgic value.

My only problem is it would obviously focus on the daughter and less on the parents, and I don't think I'd want to watch the misadventures of a preteen girl on the Disney channel.

i thought topanga died in real life.....damn you internet rumors

That actually sounds like a cool idea. I doubt I'd watch it, but I still say go for it.

Go for it. I don't see how that could mess up some that's already taken place, and is etched in history. Besides it could be dope.

Show would be wack without Feeny and Eric. William Daniels is too old, and I think the guy who plays Eric is a pretty established voice actor.

I'm sayin...

Seeing the characters again and how their lives progressed would be interesting to me.

You know there would be cameos galore.
