Pics sorta suck. Need shot of prod tag as well. How worn are these?

Also are those inserts white? They don't look right, could be my phone though

I asked for a shot of the back of the sneakers and also of the tag with the production date.

The thing is that he lives in Boston and wants to make the trade by shipping out. I also have serious trust issues with people which is why I like to do meetups and exchange in person. Is there any good way of covering myself so I don't get screwed?

Any tips/advice?

If they're legit, he buys yours and you buy his via PayPal invoice for the same price. List 100% authentic and all the details like size, original box, ect. as well

That's a good idea. I'll get him to do that. Also, the inserts are white. These replicas are getting so good these days, its ridiculous.

Inserts are supposed to be gray dude

These pics are really horrible but I believe the soles are wrong. The leather looks really shiny. Stitching on the back is off. Toe box looks misshapen  and the white shoe trees.
100% fake. Just stay away from this deal altogether.
Can you share what you caught? Used are harder to legit check IMO

Dirty *** seller trying to cover up the shoe with his hands and try to hide all the tells in the pics. See from88til from88til this is why i cant deal with these idiots and i refuse to and why i buy my shoes from nike or EXTREMELY reputable sites. Aint shoppin around somewhere where crooks like this are allowed to get away with anything.

Exactly and the pics are dark, grainy, oddly angled, and have flash. That combined with being used make them tough to LC.

I think these might even be the wrong shade of red

Should have known they were fake when it looked like it took him 6 tries to make a "J" when spelling his user name...

Agreed 100%. The user is prob 13 years old or who the hell knows. Id leave this seller alone completely if it was me, but im too paranoid to even get put in this situation.

Used 11's are harder to check. Others not so bad. Leather as you mentioned is wrong shade of red and shiny. Production tag's border is also too thin. Soles have the wrong detail.

I feel it. Better safe than sorry.

Thanks to everyone that replied. Still trying to tell the legit Jordan 1's from the fakes. This is beyond frustrating.

I try but the prices on those places are absolutely ridiculous. I bought a pair of Saint Laurent sneakers (700 dollar sneakers at retail) for around 350 shipped. I refuse to pay 600 dollars for a pair of sneakers that retailed at 150.

Well u better get used to getting legit checks on every shoe u inquire about and start getting really good at spotting fakes and crooks that lurk on places like kixify, ebay, CL, FB, IG, and all of social media. There are good deals out there in those places like that tho, jus gotta dig and be careful and do all your homework.
