I have my girl who I spend most of my time with (because I enjoy hangin out with her, she's cool as hell), my best friend, and a few other friends I talk to every once in a while. I have come to realize that keeping too many friends is pointless to me and it becomes a burden to please all of them (with your time). Having only my girl and my best friend is perfect for me tbh. Not everyone is like that though, some need a big circle of friends.

In school, I was social AF and makde friends quiet easily, but it was easy- yaknow, it's already set up

I have bros. Dont have manly bros really. All my friends are pretty much individuals, meaning I wont hang with them all together, but just separately.
I find it harder to make bros than to hang and joke around with chicks. Im not really yearning for macho bros though. Just dont have that type of group to shoot the **** with. If I had a new set of friends that liked to jam and like same comedy/shows/stuff as me then id die happy.

I have like 10 really close guy friends and 2 close female friends. Since we all lead busy lives due to a mix of grad school, careers and not living in NYC, we don't get to see each other as often. I'm actually the guiltiest party due to my intense school load since I want to get this MBA out of the way. But when we do get to hang out, it's like we don't miss a beat. But like everyone mentioned, we all know each others parents and what not.
I think what really determines if you are really good friends is if after not seen each other for a few weeks or months, nothing has changed and you are on the same page with all the jokes, ideas, and typically shenanigans. My two friends that live on the west coast and I see every 3 months or so, that's exactly how it is. Other than a sporadic text we don't talk that much.

I don't know that feel at all tbh, and I kinda feel bad for you OP. I'm incredibly close to my bros, and even though they've all graduated (I'm the youngest- graduate in April) we've still remained tight, even though some have broads, careers, ect.
And for those who are putting all your social eggs into your girl's basket, be careful. Cuz one thing I've learned is that a good bro is always more dependable than a woman. You can break up with a chick tommorow, but if you and your mans really got love for each other, you'll be friends no matter the situation.
