The sad part of it all is that that animal probably goes home to his wife and kids and acts like a total good husband/father to them and totally brushes off scarring that other couples poor kid for life by breaking that window and tazing the dad in front of her.
More bad cops need to get shot in the line of duty though. Hell their memorials in front of the station need to be vandalized as well.

this is the kind of thinking which makes this kind of behavior from police acceptable. the guy got stopped for a seatbelt violation, ended up getting the window of the car broken, tazed and then arrested. for not producing id over a damn seat violation
in what world does anything think that's permissible or acceptable behavior from a police officer?
why do people continue giving cops the benefit of the doubt when so many are committing crimes against civilians?
why is a cop's safety the number one priority here above everyone else's that he comes into contact with? an officer's safety takes precedent over anything else huh? ain't having it

I believe impulsive and emotionally unstable police like this are the most common out there.
These are not reasonable adults capable of critical thinking and figuring out the best solution to a problem. They instead follow their aggressive, knee jerk reactions which are usually violent and excessive
I'm not saying it's easy to think that quick and clearly in a hostile situation (and this example is far from hostile), but that's why the force should be highly trained and qualify only competent individuals, neither of which is apparent to me from personal observation.

Come on man. All of them? You have never run into a nice police officer? I train with a couple cops and they're cool dudes. They shake their heads at stories like this just like we do.
I'm not an expert on the law or anything, but are you required to carry an ID at all times? Some cops don't even make it a big deal if you're driving with out it. Dude is a passenger and they took it this far!
What's sad is this is the defense the cops will probably go with if it goes to court.

To a cop, it's a random bag. Regardless of what you tell him/them, they have no clue what's in it. Obviously that's going to make them uneasy.

I hate cops man. Hate them. I have a buddy from high school (who graduated at the bottom of the class) who recently became a cop and I'd be lying if I said my opinion of him didn't change. I've never met an honest, cool, genuine cop. They're all a bunch of low lives.

But didn't he explain why he didn't have his DL on him to the cops before telling the cops he would reach into his bag for the ticket (which has all his DL info on it)?

Two side to every story.
How does the cop know that the ticket dude has is actually his/contains his info if he has no further proof of identification?
Again, I'm not condoning these cops busting the window and tazing the man, that was ****** up for and completely uncalled for - but nothing good happens when you don't cooperate with cops and we should all know that by now.

But he was cooperating. It was unfortunate that he couldn't provide his DL, but he did offer an alternative. Maybe the ticket was his, maybe it wasn't, but that was the only lead. If a police officer asked you for your DL, vut you didn't have it or any other kind of proof of identification, what would you have done? How would you prove you are who you say you are? Let the police swab your cheek and tongue? Take a blood sample?
