Because Niketalk I've come to realize Canada is a halfway legitimate place. That still for the most part just bites off American culture but still hasAmerican culture nonetheless and isn't this 3rd world country laden in snow.

I was wondering if anyone else's perception of Canada (aka the 51st state) has changed because of Niketalk and Niketalkers from Canada? and how?

You have no idea how badly I wanna move to Vancouver...

But settling from one country to another is NOT easy.
And Canadians don't really like us Americans, from what I've been told, so it won't be easy to become a resident there...

Tell me about it. Especially when it wasn't by choice. Regardless though, I have no complaints about my stay here.

Having lived in the States for a long time, and now in Canada, I don't understand the hate some Canadians have for the states, Even teachers in the highschool I was at made lil smart comments about Americans. I guess its what they resort to since Canada also gets joked about a lot from our southern neighbors.

i just painted my igloo...and put 24's on my dog sled.....

i find major city in canada > any state other than the four corners...
and maybe some of the other famous cities in the middle

but thats my perception..not only because of nt either

Like I wouldn't be caught dead moving to Canada. Sales tax is like 20% I can only imagine what income tax or property tax is. Socialism is for brokepeople.

Any particular reason for the nation change?

Toronto kinda reminds me of Chicago somewhat, though. Certain areas at least. It's definitely an acquired taste and I appreciate the cultural diversity Ididn't know existed here. Scholastic opportunities initially brought me here although I don't think I'm going to stay that much longer

Hell, I'm not even blind follower of America, I'm just saying now it doesn't seem half bad, but don't expect me to jump ship and think Canadais the best place ever cause they let you smoke pot. Guess what? Pot is illegal in America and I've seen pillow cases of it here…

College in Canada? Just wondering, what kinda name recognition do you get with that? I would imagine a conversation an interview would go something like"… I went to the University of Toronto (or wherever you go or went)" and the immediate reply would be "You went to Canada to go tocollege?" followed by a look of skepticism similar to but not quite as bad as someone getting a medical degree from some shady school in the Caribbean.
